Positive: Very beautiful interior and great view at the lake. Good food and friendly staff, they also offer tours on the island. Easy communication with the host. The bathroom is really basic with only a flushless toilet, but everything is clean and there is running water in the sink and a shower.

Negative: It was extremely cold during the night, and there was only a gas-powered heater which should normally not be used inside a room. However, they give you a lot of blankets and a hot water bottle, so in bed it’s warm enough.

Positive: It was interesting to be off the grid even with the rain impacting the amenities. If you know what to expect, it's easy enough to adapt: just bring some wipes as you may not have hot water. It was nice and quiet with a beautiful view. There's a gas heater in the room that we turned off before going to sleep. The warm and numerous blankets, as well as a hot bottle, kept us cozy all night. The food was really good and the family very nice. We enjoyed buying beautiful handmade pieces from them. If you want to experience the Uros Island, it's the way to do it. A nice plus is that Eddy speaks English! He gave us all prices and excursion options ahead of time, the transfer from and to Puno was easy enough.

Negative: The bathroom can be pretty cold, so don't plan on spending too much time there!

Positive: A unique experience staying in a floating island. Its amazing how they have made these islands. I loved the beauty of the surroundings, and the sunset was spectacular. Loved the local freshly prepared food. Overall it was a very relaxing and peaceful stay.

Negative: The water was freezing cold so no hot showers. Even though our room had a heater, it stopped working int the middle of the night, so it was freezing! The compost toilet facilities which carried a bad smell.

Summary: Absolutely beautiful and an experience not to miss - despite the bathroom situation ... lol

Positive: The Lodge was located very nicely and the view, especially for sunset, was incredible. Eddy and his family are super nice people, we booked all-inclusive and had the 2h Uros-Boat-Tour on the day of our departure, which was very interesting. In addition, they did a great job with the gluten-free meals (as my girlfriend is coeliac).

Summary: Very nice stay in a beautiful and calm location, super friendly hosts and awesome sunsets!

Positive: Amazing stay on the lake with amazing host Eddie and family! Lovely room with beautiful views and terrace over the lake. The tour with Eddie was really informative, with great English. Amazing food and great hosting. Overall a once in a lifetime experience, can’t recommend enough!

Positive: Eddy and his family were wonderful, they take great care of the people staying there. The room was very peaceful, they made sure the beds were cosy and warm to sleep in. And Salome's cooking was amazing - nutritious, delicious and prepared with amazing cleanliness - the food was some of the best local food we ate during our whole trip. The view from the room and reed deck onto the lake was gorgeous, the rest of the family were lovely and the boat tour Eddy took us on was really interesting - he was a great guide around the area. We also loved meeting their cute little dog, Tinny! A very homely and welcoming place to stay - thank you!

Negative: The bathroom was a little basic but did not affect our comfort. It took some experimenting to figure out how to turn on the shower. We liked the eco-friendly toilet set-up. In our tourist-travel daze, we didn't bring a few extra snacks from the mainland, but we didn't need any and certainly didn't go hungry - others may wish to bring extras if you're the snacking type of person. Lovely place.

Summary: Wonderful family, cosy bed, beautiful and peaceful place to stay and homely, clean, amazing cooking!
