Positive: One of our top places we’ve stayed. Paulo meet us at the port. We had secure parking for 2 nights there. 30 minutes on a boat to arrive at the lodge. Paulo’s wife Elena meet us at the dock. The room and view is beautiful. Lots of space. Normal bathroom with water flush toilet (not sawdust) Hot water shower. Breakfast with fruit, coffee, tea, bread, duck eggs and bacon. They will make lunch and dinners too for 30 Sol each. At over 12,000’ elevation, this place is cold all year after sunset. Sunshine during the day is very comfortable. We stayed here mid October and had morning and evening rain. Although June and July is considered colder months, it’s preferred because of more sun and less rain. Paulo took us on a boat tour to UROS islands our second day. Paulo and Elena are the nicest people you will ever meet in your life. They sang songs to us, dressed us in traditional outfits. Their entire life are the islands here.

Positive: Elena and Pablo were so welcoming from the first moment I arrived! They explained how to get to the port from the Puno bus station and then picked me up in a boat to bring me to the house :) also check in was at 10am so I didn’t have to wait long after arriving in the morning and got to enjoy the whole day on the lake and visiting the Uros community. The apartment is so cute and a perfect spot to disconnect and relax! It was so cool to stargaze through the glass ceiling in the room and watch the sunset from the daybed on the deck. The home cooked meals were delicious, and the bed was so comfy! I would definitely recommend staying here :)
