Summary: First of all, my mom can’t easily use steps, and our room had no elevator access. We weren’t told this before booking or checking in. The rooms and property are very dated. There wasn’t enough light to do our makeup in the morning, even in the bathroom. Several outlets didn’t work. The tub, while technically not dirty, had stains along the edges and in the caulking. I didn’t feel comfortable giving my daughter a bath. Also, I slept on the side of the bed near the wall, and it smelled musty and dirty there—like the carpet on that side hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It was strong enough to keep me awake. I always thought Toftrees was supposed to be more of an upscale property. This was not upscale at all.

Summary: The room was not clean when I checked in. There were no towels, soap, or shampoo. Also the toilet had not been cleaned. The wifi was also out so I could not work. On my last day, the power was out and there were no backout lights, so I spent the night in darkness.

Summary: The property was fine. I chose it because every single other place in State College was over $150 per night even the Sleep in. Nothing elaborate. Staff was nice but no real frills for a resort.
