Positive: Authentic Japanese ryokan; traditional decor, building, and excellent service. There also was Shamisen entertainment in one of the evenings.
Negative: There was no advance notice at all to incoming hotel guests of the times and locations of the hotel’s shuttle pick up and drop offs at the train stations. This made it very difficult for incoming guests to plan their transportation arrangements to travel to the hotel and ensure that they will be able to benefit from the free hotel shuttle service.

Positive: Warm welcome by staff, friendly and helpful, speak good English. The meals (dinner & breakfast) were excellent, delicious, plate design like arts!
Negative: Onsens are a little small but the staff explained that's the limitation from hot springs source.

Positive: The entire experience was extraordinary. We were greeted with welcome drinks in front of a fire, and led to our room by courteous but hospitable staff. Our 3-person room faced a quiet garden, and we enjoyed delicious cake and tea before being led to the dinner. There was a pair of yukata and a pair of more modern pajamas in the room, along with a warm jacket and a pair of socks for each person. There was a toilet in our entrance hall, and a sink and mirror in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both served in an independent Japanese room located in the older building, and our server conversed with us in fluent Mandarin and English. We loved the exquisitely made Japanese dinner and breakfast, every single small dish and platter of it! The two hotsprings were also delightfully pleasant. The indoors medicinal bath was small but very clean, while the outdoor bath was much more spacious. For some reason, we did not meet many people using the bath either in the evening or the morning. We opted for a shuttle bus to leave the hotel in the morning. The hotel was very helpful with answering questions and reserving shuttle service through the booking.com chat room in English. We were extremely happy with our stay, and hope to stay longer next time.
Negative: We were given the option to have breakfast at 8:30 or 9:00, with our shuttle leaving at 9:50. This made for somewhat of a rush. If we could visit again, we would try to give ourselves at least 90 mins between breakfast and checking out.
