Negative: Aiircon was way too cold but I could deal with that. The only problem was a fire alarm in the building. Evacuated Saturday morning 11am. And then again Sunday morning 232am I think. OMG. Not happy Jan.

Positive: I wasn’t aware until just before arriving that the keys were kept at a backpackers hostel in another location - I didn’t like this arrangement.
Negative: I wasn’t told this booking wasn’t a hotel style booking, so was expecting clean towels and toiletries ever 2-3 days, this was not the case. No reception staff as it is considered an Airbnb - I would have booked an Airbnb if I wanted one. As I’m standing waiting for my lift to the airport and reading all the instructions and rules to make sure I had fine everything, there were a lot of messages and rules - I read that I can’t leave rubbish on the property, so had to go back up stairs and empty all the bins, then go the the backpackers to stop my keys into a locked box. All messages and notes in the apartment warn of additional charges, for anything that goes wrong, ie key misplaced, extra laundry, etc. We had a friends car instead of a hire car and was given a nasty note from management to say they had told us once already (never did) that we could not park in the bays as we were not guests, so wasn’t told I couldn’t be allocated a bay. Disappointing as the location and rooms were great, just not what I thought I was booking. Maybe booking.com should indicate when re-selling private rooms in a hotel facility.

Negative: Towering Palms is not the name of the building, there’s no building called Towering Palms which is confusing, so take note if booking this facility, this is the name of the room only. If I wanted an Airbnb, I would have booked thru Airbnb! Key collection & return is difficult as the lockbox is at a totally different location from the room & picking keys up at 2.30am & trying to find the location of the lock box was not a nice experience! Lock box is located at a dingy youth hostel! The accommodation itself is centrally cooled by air conditioning that is not allowed to be turned off & strict instructions on this are given by the owner but the aircon is absolutely, ridiculously freezing! This actually made the stay most unpleasant. Make sure you bring jumpers, socks & a blanket because you’ll need it with this aircon & that’s no exaggeration! No view from the balcony when you sit at the outdoor table, can only see the brick wall! If you send the owner a message, they don’t respond with an answer to your message. Owner will only send generic messages, won’t respond to any question you put to them. As motel owners ourselves, we can only say that this facility is very poorly administered & question whether this owner has actually stayed themselves!
Summary: Whilst the rooms were great, I would not book ‘Towering Palms’ again as this is only a room in the complex. Mantra has a
