Summary: The pictures on the website do not do the house justice. The property is very spacious (we were an family of 4) and in close walking proximity to Le Buge and its amenities. In addition the property is well positioned to enjoy the various places on interest that the Dordogne. The evening food markets in Le Buge and Limeuil are well worth a visit.

Summary: A deceptive little property, looks small but certainly is not. Plenty of space to enjoy this lovely house set right in the bustling little town of Le Bugue. Everything that might be needed for our 11 day stay there was provided from books, dvd's, hairdryer, towels, washing machine, cooler box, WiFi to even a lovely bottle of red wine which was left for us. The neighbours were so friendly and sitting on the terrace enjoying the sunshine was so much fun. We had such a lovely stay there and would not hesitate to recommend this diamond of a house and would love to return. Thank you very much Jaqueline.

Summary: We so enjoyed our stay in Le Buque. A Charming home with everything you need...except a radio😉. Such a great central location to experience the Valley History. From Medieval Castles to Prehistoric CAVES! Every day was a breaking experience! The town has lively little restaurants and great fresh produce at the Tuesday Market! Thanks Keith for quickly resolving our smoke alarm buzzing! Thanks to Jackie for sharing this Quaint French Home!

Summary: Jackie's home in Le Bugue was one of our most favorite places during out 3 week stint in France. You should have seen my kids faces as we entered the door of the blue shuttered house - especially after squishing into the small apartment we shared in Paris and Montpellier. The home is enormous with a gorgeous open plan living area and wet room downstairs. Upstairs was a newly refurbished enormous bathroom with another little reading alcove, living area and bedroom. The top floor held 2 bedrooms which we used during our stay. Perhaps the most impressive thing about this property was the gorgeous view of the Le Bugue bridge over the Vezere river in the morning - just incredible! Our first experience of the town was also really pleasant with a visit at the Italian restaurant where the English speaking chef and owner took time out to chat with us and ask us about our trip. The hospitality did not end there, with every restaurant experience a pleasant one - and the penultimate evening being spent listening to a live band and enjoying the local fare at a food market held in the evening (Tuesday nights during summer). This was a very special experience. Le Buge has a heap of things to do for young and old. There is the prehistoric theme park (perhaps a little expensive - so check it out before taking the kids), hiking up to Bernac castle (easy to do with kids - you can drive to the top instead of walking if you prefer) and of course, a river canoe and picnic that we began just before Bernac so we could get in a lot of the sites (finishing at the Bernac castle). We LOVED this area of France - every where you turn is another postcard and we loved Jackie's home - so central and fully equipped. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thanks so much Jackie - you made our trip!
