Summary: Myself, my husband, three kids plus dog had the absolute pleasure of staying in Sarah and Claude's beautiful French home for ten days in June/July. Communication prior to the holiday and on arrival day was great. Sarah even pre arranged for our dog to visit a local vet for a Tape Worm jab she needed to travel back to the UK. Sarah and Claude gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, the fizz and chocolate awaiting us were much appreciated after our 14 hour journey. The house is full of character, clean, large, airy, homely, very tastefully decorated and fully equipped with everything a large family requires. Even a foosball table and drafts board to occupy the family. The view from every window in the house was breath taking. The gardens are beautiful with lots of things for kids to play on. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the views, watching the birds of prey and relaxing in the hot tub. There are many lovely walks on the doorstep and gorgeous lakes a short drive away. The large supermarkets are a 15 minute drive. We will definitely return, it was our best family holiday to date.

Summary: What can I say? We had such a wonderful time at this historic, beautiful and perfectly equipped gite. There is so much do to do in the area that we only got to experience a small piece of it. We had really hot weather but at the house you could find plenty of cool shelter and a slight breeze. It was so comfortable and we didn't want for anything. Perfect. The location is also perfect for short trips, but we also visited Leon and Annecy by train and car. So convenient. The hosts were great, Sarah went out of her way to explain the local attractions and tailored this to us as we had elderly parents and a dog to consider. She was always on hand if we needed her. Our parents got the rest they needed and our dog had the best time too, the area around the gite is secure and he just loved it. There were lovely lakes nearby for us all to swim in, as well as excellent food stores. The hot tub was a lovely treat at the end of a day of exploring. We will definately come back again and very soon!!! Highly recommend the experience. Cath and family (incl. Mack our GSD) xx
