Summary: The house was in a beautiful location. Close to the beach. Parking was only paid in the area and difficult, given the hustle and bustle in the village. The house was spacious, equipped with everything, but dated / rustic. The area is beautiful and Yport is beautifully centrally located.

Summary: Wonderful location in quiet traditional fishing village very close to shingle beach and spectacular cliff walks. The house would benefit from considerable modernisation, but has real potential. Our main complaint is that the kitchen was not cleaned properly and many of the pots and pans were dirty and/or broken. Stairs are narrow and steep. Inadequate instructions (rubbish, central heating etc) but the owner was very helpful when we contacted him.

Summary: overall enjoyed our stay. Plus points were proximity to the sea, having views of the cliff and beach and yport itself. Some lovely resturants and people were very friendly and tolerant of our lack of french. Creperie on the front was good. Negatives were parking, and we had to park some distance from the property and unload our suitcases and leave our cars in the car park on the sea front. That said all parking was free anywhere in yport according to Pierre. The house was extremely hot (there was a heatwave) and there was a distinct odour on the staircase, however both resolved when we opened all the windows and aired the house. We requested fans but none were available. The property is four storeys high with steep stairs and young children need supervising. The beach and all local beaches are completely stony and not suitable for young children who like to play in the sand.
