*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. For more information about the annual lake drawdown, please contact the Town of Lake Lure.

Summary: My BFF and I met here for a girls' weekend and it was perfect. Secluded enough for us to enjoy the beautiful views in privacy, but close enough to conveniences like businesses. Our only complaints are minor, like not having any extra coffee filters, but perhaps we should have read the reservation details more carefully. If we rent here again, which we very well might, we will plan on bringing a few extra kitchen conveniences (there were only 4 of everything, so using 4 forks can happen quickly). It was very clean, with the exception of cobwebs being fairly prevalent in corners and up high (like in skylights). I think the cleaning team probably doesn't look up, but a nice telescoping vacuum or duster would help a lot. Overall, those are details that were totally acceptable to us, and we had a great trip and stay!

Summary: We had a wonderful time and enjoyed everything about this property. Cozy, yet spacious enough for our family of six with a dog. The fenced yard was an added bonus for him, and the loft space was great for my kids. It was in a perfect location with beautiful views. We definitely recommend.

Summary: The cabin was nice and exactly what we were looking for my husband’s birthday. The beds weren’t the best. They were firmer than what we were used to. The cabin was located in a gated community. This was nice but there were so many rules, regulations, and contracts to fill out that I felt was overkill. If all of this was listed ahead of time, we would have probably chosen somewhere else to go. Considering how much we were charged for housekeeping fees we had to take our own trash to the dumpster. There were dusty places under the furniture and on the light fixtures. I would rate the cabin and our stay at 4 out of 5 stars.

Summary: We spent 5 relaxing days at this beautiful cabin. The views were amazing! The cabin was clean and cozy. The location was perfect. No neighbors right on top of you, and in a quiet area. There is a fenced yard and a gate on the porch which makes it perfect for furry four legged traveling companions. The lake is a short walk (with some hills) from the cabin. Absolutely will return.

Summary: From the initial booking to the end of our stay, it was a great experience. I was updated about our stay, checking in and our process. We followed the instructions on the email on how to find the cabin and it worked well. The cleanliness of the cabin was superb. Ingles was a very short trip from the cabin, which was very convenient. Everything about the cabin was so homey, and the amenities that were thought of to go inside and outside the home were so wonderful. It was like being home. There was everything we could need for a stay, all the way down to s’mores skewers and a lighter. Plenty of extra blankets and towels. I was super surprised at the amazing view and big windows to look out of! I didn’t even notice them in the pictures online. Our 3 kids had plenty of room to play, and roam without being cramped. And our dog also had plenty of space. The fenced in backyard and front porch was also a huge plus. The only semi con, would be the master bed was pretty hard and firm. But that could just be chalked up to user preference. Also another small detail I loved was all the light switches were labeled. We drove down to the lake and creek and explored, hiked Chimney Rock, and our kids enjoyed mining for gems downtown. The Lake Lure Flowering garden was really neat too. Our stage was a 10/10, and I would recommend this stay to anyone! Will be back!

Summary: Besides how scares I was getting to the property (which my entire family laughed at me for) it was a great place to stay! We had a great time here and my kids didn't want to leave. This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed at. The decor was beautiful and so we're the views! The staff was helpful and quick to communicate back.

Summary: It felt like we were in a really cool tree house. Only thing that wasn’t what I’m used to when using a vacation rental was the basics like salt sugar etc things like that I had to buy literally everything to make a meal, which is fine but I have never had to buy every single ingredient. No big deal. Wondering if things like that will accumulate after a few more visitors. We didn’t know if they’d want us to leave behind what we purchased (those basics) so we took with us. I hope I can see the mountains from the hot tub when we come back in the winter. During the summer you can see a spec of them but the trees are so lush that it covered the view BUT was still a very pretty view/vibe - treehouse! Is what my kids and I kept calling it. We loved the whole house and having a fenced in yard and porch was awesome For my 2 year old and our tiny older dog. We did s’mores and used the grill every day. Super clean and nice. Loved the shower too! Hope to come Back in the winter!
