Welcome to the Drowsy Beaver Cabin!
This cabin is the perfect place to detach from your every day busy life. Whether you're interested in a quiet intimate retreat, hiking and adventuring, or reading by the fire and playing a board game, our cabin is just the place to do so!
This newly updated, central Pennsylvania cabin is not a traditional dark and dingy cabin. With a beautiful open floor plan, this chalet-like cabin features rustic bohemian decor while still maintaining warmth and coziness. You'll find hand-made art and accessories throughout the cabin, many from local makers.
At just under 1900 square feet, this 2 bedroom 2.5 bath home also includes a loft bedroom. Rooms and amenities include:
-Master bedroom with King bed and Master bath
-Guest room with Queen bed
-Loft bedroom with Full bed, privacy curtain and futon
-Bedding, towels and travel sized shampoo/conditioner/soap provided
-Fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, Keurig coffee maker and kcups
-Open living room with double sided stone fireplace
-Open dining area with seating for 6
-Sunroom facing the back side of fireplace and doors walking you out to deck
-50mbps WiFi for those who may need to work
-Newly installed level 2 EV charger so you can bring your electric car!
-Gas grill
Outside you can enjoy the large, partially covered deck where you can choose to be shaded or to bask in the sun while enjoying your coffee. Look for turtles, deer, turkey and other wildlife on a daily basis. Wrap yourself in a blanket when going on the deck at night and look at some of the most amazing views of the stars you will ever see!
Please note: Beaver Lake is owned by club members and is used primarily for fishing. Maintaining a thriving eco-system is extremely important to the community. This means that usually the lake is at least partially covered with lilies and/or other lake growth. Swimming is not permitted.
We've recently cleaned out and added river rock to our garden area located on the cabin side of the garage. You'll find stringed lights and a fire pit for late night s'mores and star-gazing.
This cabin truly is away from it all, but just a short drive from some cute small towns and Williamsport, known for Little League World Series and it's historic town speckled with amazing restaurants.
Adventure Seekers
Our cabin is just 5 miles away from Hunter's lake, well known for boating and kayaking. For amazing hiking trails and waterfalls be sure to visit Worlds End (20 mins away) and Ricketts Glenn (25 mins away).
Located 9 miles from Hughesville, 8 miles from Historic Eagles Mere, 23 miles from Williamsport and 25 miles from Bloomsburg.

We install a window unit A/C in both bedrooms in June and we have a splitter in the loft. There are 3 ceiling fans and floor fans available as well.
Winter guests: our driveway will be plowed but we recommend AWD or 4WD for the backroads outside the property.
Travelers with small children should be aware that this cabin is located on the side of a steep hill overlooking the lake and the property is not fenced off. Children must be carefully supervised.

Summary: Amazing property and great spot to hang out for the weekend. We cooked our meals since restaurants were 20 minutes away but kitchen had everything we would need. Short drive to great state parks and would stay there again!

Summary: The property was beautifully decorated, very clean, and the location is perfect. Stacey and Tim are attuned to the smallest details which added comfort and ease for our long weekend get away with friends. We appreciated the fluffy towels, well stocked kitchen, wood for the fire pit, working gas grill, turntable and vinyl collection. The property and ease of renting were top notch. Summary: We absolutely loved staying there! The house is beautiful, welcoming and down right relaxing! The homeowners were so friendly and answered any questions we had. We had an issue with the internet and within hours the owners fixed the issue! Lovely people!

Summary: The property is exactly like listed. The house has all amenities and the deck is a view of Beaver Lake. A turntable with vinyl album collection was quite a nice surprise and provided hours of entertainment. Spacious for an extended family. Clean and all kitchen needs suppled:) Located approximately 30 mins from many hiking trails and Worlds End park. A great find:)

Summary: The Drowsy Beaver is a lovely getaway! Lots of spaces to just relax outside with views of the lake and forest, beautiful sunroom for coffee on cold mornings, and close to some of the best hiking in the Northeast. The bed was more comfortable than the one we have at home! Best of all, our host Stacy was so thoughtful. The kitchen was well stocked, the house was immaculate, and the little touches she added were much appreciated. She also responded immediately when we contacted her.
