3-bedroom lake front cottage with picturesque view on Bald Lake Narrows which connects Little Bald to Big Bald Lake. Direct access to the Trent water system. Boat launch 1 kilometre from cottage. Cottage sits 40 feet from lake front with 100 feet frontage.
Surrounded by large lush trees, our cottage offers a peaceful scenic view of the lake.
Enjoy your morning café or smoothie on the upper deck lounging on the couch while enjoying the view of the lake a mere 40 feet away. Walk along the flagstone pathway to the lake and snuggle into the hammock and enjoy the calmness of the water. We all have our favorite spot when enjoying the cottage life. There are also several Adirondack chairs to move around if you prefer the dock. Feel like activity? Grab the kayak and head down to the water for a bit of exercise and check out the scenery of the lake, not to be missed is the Blue Heron's nest directly across from the cottage. Maybe the Floater Mat is more your game to jump and lounge on or the inflatable chairs that you can float along the shore. The lazy river off of highway 36 is more adventurous but surely a fun way to spend a Summer and Fall day! Replenish your energy with a stop in at Buckhorn or Bobcaygeon for a scoop or two of ice cream at Kawartha Dairy.
Within our cottage on the upper level you will find several amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Fresh bedding on all the beds, towels for your swim and hygiene needs. The kitchen offers fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, dishes, cutlery, coffee maker and kettle. Feel free to cook up a storm as we provide all the necessary tools you will need to enjoy a feast after a day of fresh air and relaxation. Our cottage is suited best for adults and mature couples. Strict policy on a maximum guests to 6.
Our basement is cozy with a comfy couch and TV to enjoy a DVD at the end off the day, Netflix, or Bell TV. We offer a selection of DVD's for your entertainment. If a movie is not your preference, we have a few board games that may entice you like Jenga, Balderdash, Taboo, Yatzee and my favourite; a deck of cards.
Star gazing on the dock is another option while the fire pit is being prepared to roast marshmallows or hot dogs. Our upper deck coffee table has a propane fire if you are partial to the couch.
Forgot something? We have a supply of toiletries.
Now that you have enjoyed your day, it is time to rest and get up to do it all over again!

Summary: Just a wonderful experience. The cottage was beautiful and so well appointed. Incredibly welcoming. Jen left some goodies in the fridge for us. So sweet and thoughtful. She and Ron are amazing hosts. Outdoors was amazing. Sit by the lake and move up to the beautiful gas fire pit later in the evening to enjoy the stars. A beautiful and wonderful stay.

Summary: We needed some quiet time and we got it at this cottage. Jen, the host has made sure that you have everything you need to be comfortable. We didn’t want or need anything during our stay! The cottage and property were very clean, private, and well looked after. It’s hard to find a dog friendly rental and we were so grateful to be able to bring ours along. The lake is fairly shallow and weedy so we didn’t swim a lot but we still had a blast exploring in the kayaks and reading on the dock and decks. Thank you Jen!

Summary: We had a wonderful time. The cottage is comfortable, clean and welcoming. The outdoor spaces are fantastic! The pictures don't do the outdoor space justice. The property has a beautiful, large deck off the cottage with a perfect lake view. The landscaping is very nice, and there are lots of spots to set up chairs by the water, dock and firepit. We had a great time playing on the floating mat in the water, fishing, and taking the kayak out to explore. The hosts were kind and very responsive...they included many amenities to make the stay more comfortable. The close drive to Buckhorn is great too - quick drive to town if supplies needed. We would stay here again and have passed along the property info to family. Thanks for the great stay, Jennifer!

Summary: This property is peaceful and beautiful. We had so much fun watching the baby blue herons in their nest, listening to the loons and enjoying the lake. Such a wonderful vacation and great hosts. They supplied us with everything you could want during your stay. The outside deck and lakefront were perfect for relaxing. Kayaking, paddle boarding and having a fire were just done of the highlights. Buckhorn and Bobcaygeon have nice shops and restaurants. So happy we rented this property and our dogs loved it too!!!

Summary: This beautiful cottage was just what we were seeking for relaxation in a tranquil setting next to the lake. Cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our family getaway. This is a perfect place for bird lovers as there were many different species of birds surrounding the area. The host Jen is a great communicator and super helpful. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket on arrival. During our stay a major storm rolled in and knocked out power - Jen was quick to respond and set up a generator. Would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing break away from it all! We look forward to going back. Thank you

Summary: A cozy, clean, well stocked, pet friendly cabin on a lake that will take your stress away and speak to your soul. This place is an oasis. My only complaint is that I couldn’t spend more time here. Jen is a generous, kind, and helpful host who was super responsive and made sure that we had everything we needed. This cottage is truly a very special place. You will not be disappointed!

Summary: My 3 sisters and I stayed here from Sept 17 to 20 . The property is beautiful and the view spectacular. We had such an amazing time. We had everything we needed.
