Summary: What we thought would be a nice relaxing weekend getaway turned out to be an uncomfortable and confronting experience. The place was by no means clean. There was a used toothbrush on the entertainment unit, the cutlery draw was full of food crumbs and not to mention a syringe. The toilet was dirty with hair and the shower head sprays water across the bathroom. Every corner of every window had thick spider webs and the fly screens had rips in them so we couldn’t leave the windows open at night. The least they could have offered was a tissue box for us. We checked in at 8pm on a Saturday only to be woken up the next morning by someone in the backyard screaming claiming we had stolen his kayak and that he wanted us to open the garage door so he can check for himself. Things started to get heated when we refused him acess and then when he saw we were 3 big boys staying here he said he was coming back as we had messed with the wrong people. This place was by no means cleaned before we got there. I don’t even think it was cleaned after the last guests where there, as their was half a bottle of sprite in the fridge and the toothbrush that was just lying around.When I brought this up I was offered a cleaner to come on the last day which was no point and something like a 40 dollar refund which I still haven’t received after what’s almost been a month now. Also booking through Stayz was a nightmare.
