Our private one acre Rice lake retreat is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy time away from city life and your busy schedule. Sit back and relax with your family and friends on our waterfront property with exclusive dock entrance to the lake. Although our waterfront is not suitable for swimming due to excessive weeds, it's a great place for dock fishing, canoeing and kayaking. We are situated in Cottage country yet still within walking distance to shops, restaurants and LCBO.
Our property consists of a two bedroom fully equipped cottage and a quaint lofted bunkie for an outdoor experience. In addition, a one bedroom trailer with a kitchenette and bathroom is perfect for larger families or to share with two families. Unwind and enjoy the waterfront view. External security cameras are onsite to monitor outside grounds only. Please speak with us about bringing a pet.

Summary: In the past 5 years we had lots of cottage experience. The cottage is located at a very nice and convenient location. The yard is very sapcious, and the lawn is well mowed. It is relatively cheap, however we think it is not worthy and everything lacks something, e.g. the facilities are old and needs improvement. After arrived, we realized there was no WIFI, not a problem at all it is our fault we didn't ask and they did not mention it clearly on the list. There is no Shampoos, coffee, and cooking oil either, but we understand those are nicer to have, we also understand they do not provide towels and blankets as they told us beforehand. What we cannot accept are (and hope the owner can improve): firstly the trailer room does not have shower water after first night use; matress on beds are terribly uncomfortable and the sofa bed literally we can feel hard coils; secondly we feel it could be a safety issue that the dock is shaking and tilting one side to another when you walk on it; third thing is, the fridge is leaking water all our stuffs get soaked with unknown water probably from the freezer; The yard layouts are specially attractive with main house and cute second room in a trailer; plus a log room with beds, so that it can host more guests. If the aforementioned problems can be fixed, it will be a very good cottage.

Summary: The biggest problems were bringing your own towels, blankets, and drinking water. Big inconveniences for people flying.

Summary: We had 8 of us stay, my wife ,myself and 2 teenage boys as well as my parents and my sister and her husband. This place gave us the perfect amount of time together and time apart. We rented a pontoon boat and there was ample space at the dock to park it. It is weedy near the dock and quite shallow, so swimming or a large boat is out, but otherwise a great place to stay. Close to restaurants, LCBO and a supermarket ( we walked)

Summary: It was a lovely time had by all, Becky and her husband were quick to respond when we could get the TV working and when we dumbly locked ourselves out. It’s well worth the money snd will be booking again

Summary: Very cute little cottage with lots of space. However it’s unfortunate that the water of this waterfront lot is not swimmable. Overall a great stay, would recommend!

Summary: At the last minute you are told to bring your own blankets ... the sheets on the bed that they did supply wasn't nice at all. When you arrive you are welcomed with a note saying to take out the garbage to the curb after paying them a cleaning fee.. Under the beds and sofa is very dirty and cobwebs everywhere on the ceilings.

Summary: We had an amazing stay at Becky’s cottage. We came with 8 friends and the place had everything we needed. It fit all of us comfortably. Becky was the perfect host and was available anytime we had questions or issues. We loved having the canoe and 2 kayaks. The only minor issue we had was that the lake was not as clean as we were hoping so we did not swim. We did find a great beach in Port Hope which was about 20 minutes away. Kind of wished we had known this beforehand but we honesty did not mind it though, we still had a great time. I would advise buying groceries beforehand since the little supermarket in town was very expensive. it’s a beautiful property with plenty of space!

Summary: We enjoyed the place during our stay. My kids loved to stay in the Bunkie, the property is very quiet and private gives us some time to relax and experience the life away from the busy and stressful life away from the city life. The place is spotless clean, everything described on the property is accurate ! Becky was so nice to answer all the questions and information's that we need to know before we reach the place. The kids loved the the little house near the lake and they loved the Bunkie bed. A very quiet , nice place to relax and share the special memories with your family and friends.

Summary: We stayed at this property for a 2nd year in a row and enjoyed it equally as much. We did make use of the spacious and clean trailer as well this time, which allowed for us to feel less crowded than a typical 3 bedroom cottage. We rented a boat for the week from the local bait and tackle shop, and docked it right at our property. All amenities and cottage exactly as described. Only recommendation would be some sort of permanent rain shelter, as when it rains, there’s no place to sit outside and enjoy the storm.
