Woodstock treehouse, perfectly situated between Phoenicia and Woodstock center. A ten minute drive to shopping, restaurants, galleries, entertainment. Skiers will love the location, nearby belleayre and Hunter mountains. A perfect balance to the retreat like setting perched on a cliff overlooking CATSKILLS MOUNTAIN Range. 40 Foot round great room with a central column, blue-stone fireplace and dramatic arched beam ceilings, flanked by two wings, housing 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Bonus Rec room for kids, extra couches, tv ping-pong. Best of all, A hot tub on the deck overlooking the breathtaking views.
All of the wood and stone was milled from the property. Enter this, 2100 sq ft. Ranch house directly into the enormous and dramatic great room, a Yurt/Buckminster Fuller-esque domed space, with a five foot diameter blue stone column fire place at its center. With arched 25 foot ceilings, wraparound windows, and multiples living areas that flow onto the 950sq foot deck. Wings on either side have 20 by 12 ft bedrooms with post and beam cathedral ceilings and a third smaller bedroom. All bedrooms have windowed sliding doors that open on to the deck and provide dramatic Mountain views.
The house is lovingly situated 100 feet above Wittenberg Road, directly across from Wilson State Park. The park boasts amazing nature and hiking paths around a body of water. Great for kayaking and even camping.
Two neighbors share an 11 acre parcel with 1000s of wild acres behind it, and thousands of acres of park land below it. You can walk to fishing and swimming ponds, nature trails, waterfalls, bike paths, and all other manner of outdoor activities in the summer. Cross country skiing, ice fishing, leaf and bird watching and sitting around the fireplace round out the cooler months. Deer, geese, wild turkeys, bunny rabbits and bears can all be viewed from their natural habitat from the large windows.

Summary: Had a delightful time. The cabin has a very cool vibe and great location. 10 minutes from woodstock. We couldn't figure out how to get the jacuzzi warmer than 98 degrees despite messing around with the wonky buttons. That was the only bummer. Owner was very communicative and prompt.

Summary: Our family had a wonderful time! This is a cozy, fun mountain house with tons of privacy and warmth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back. The communication with the property manager was very prompt and helpful. Even though the driveway was a bit treacherous, our stay was a perfect weekend getaway in the mountains with awesome things to do and see in the nearby towns.

Summary: It looks just like the pictures. I loved that there were not scents in the house, that was a big plus since my husband has allergies to certain scents. The hot tub was relaxing and the grill had an amazing view. The fire pit was in a great location and the chairs were comfy. The kitchen was amazing to cook in it had everything you could need. My mother needed a walk in shower and there was one with a bench, rain showerhead, and three other jets. It also had a hand held by the bench perfect for mom.

Summary: This property is clearly well loved and taken care of. The house has three spacious rooms that were very comfortable. The main room, including the living and dining areas, is anchored large stone fireplace and chimney, making the space feel like a very cool yert. The kitchen is older but equiped with everything you need. I've of the bathrooms had been recently remodeled and we very nice. We also took advantage of the hot tub on the deck, which overlooks the woods and feels very secluded. I would recommend getting there in the daylight as the house is set back from the main driveway and it's nessled in trees, making it very difficult to find in the dark. It was an easy drive to the fair grounds but if your goal was just to hide away in a cozy spot this place is perfect for that too.

Summary: My friends, I, and Burl the poodle were so happy we selected the Hilltop Treehouse Woodstock Retreat. The property owner is *outstandingly* prompt with communication and very gracious. All photos and property description are accurate. Very Clean, all appliances and outlets functional, great kitchen appliances, beautiful surroundings, nice grassy fenced area for Burl, very cool and interesting architechture. This was our first Vrbo experience, and it was stellar! Property + property owner receive A+ grade!

Summary: Very good communication with owner and great place for our family ages 3-66 to call home for a few nights. Inside nice and clean and unique. Basement smelled basementy, but did not bother the kids using it. Spent lots of time on the deck which could use a bit of TLC, and perhaps more attention from cleaning crew. We loved the surrounding area and look forward to another visit as there is plenty to do and see. Would stay here again!

Summary: We had a lovely stay at this home in the Catskills. VRBO description was accurate and house was ready and clean upon arrival. Layout of the house was great for our group with the separate wings and bathrooms. Setting was very nice up a steep gravel driveway, very peaceful. We appreciated the owners' interesting/quirky decor. Main floor room is terrific for a group with comfy sectional and large dining table. Outside deck was nice for sitting and appreciating the setting. Other reviews regarding lighting were accurate. It is dark even during daytime. This could be easily solved with a different choice of light bulbs. Kitchen and basement definitely need more light. The house was really nice for the weekend. A little sprucing up would really make a huge difference overall and make this a definite return location.
