Welcome to our newly renovated family home “Forever Young”. We’ve spent over 80 years creating memories in this home and now its your turn! Located between some of Lake Michigans most peaceful public beaches, nestled in the heart of wine country and surrounded by incredible local restaurants. We provide high speed wifi and Netflix in case you wanted to spend the day in, as well as, self check in and Free parking! We are PET FRIENDLY with Owners Pre Approval.
The space
Two Story home with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms (Jacuzzi Tub and Men’s urinal in master bath) Living room, dining room, kitchen, Sun room and basement game area (Pool Table). Fully fenced in back yard with “She Shed” and fire pit.
Other things to note
We are “Pet Friendly” with pre-approval from the Host Manager and require a $75 non-refundable pet fee for your stay.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. The host was very gracious. The dishwasher didn't work which was a bummer, and for the location, the price seemed a bit high. Otherwise we were all quite comfortable.

Summary: The host was very accommodating but the house was old and outdated with several items broken or not functioning. The outdoor gate did not secure and we had a dog with us so that was problematic. The air conditioning upstairs was not working well, so it was difficult to sleep comfortably. The basement door would not lock, and required some tweaking with tools to fix. I had assumed that after the last reviewer left comments about so many things needing to be fixed that the owners would’ve taken care of this since it had been six months since that review. It was very disappointing to see that updates were not made.

Summary: Half the fixtures are inoperable, broken, loose, or in need of some repair. Examples: toilet bowl on the top floor bath not adequately secured to the floor, sink faucet barely flowing water, and master bath’s tub not draining well. The basement utility tub’s hot water faucet will not close, and the tubs don’t drain well when the washing machine empties. Nearly every cupboard/drawer knob in the house was loose. The dining room table is rickety – we found an additional leg for its center otherwise would have been uncomfortable putting a full family Thanksgiving meal on it. Lighting is poor in nearly every room -- missing bulbs, no switch, inoperable switches, inoperable fixtures, etc. Examples: literally half the lights in the master bath don’t work or are broken; lights in the main floor bath are hung sketchy (unsafe); bunk bedroom light is mostly broken/inoperable. If you eat out a lot, the kitchen is fine – if you like to cook, the kitchen is furnished with nice silverware/cutlery with a decent selection of utensils, yet the pots and pans are poor; several, including the kettle, were unusable due to being corroded or too worn/scratched – and this is after opening the new cooking set provided. The pool table was fun, although only one stick was not broken. Having the extra fridge in the basement is a plus. The welcome snacks and wine were nice to see upon arrival. Linens were clean – the house, including the basement, was clean. The yard was not clean – apparently, no leaf pick-up was done this year, and the apple tree’s harvest still lies on the ground with lots of sticks everywhere. One of the two outside gates does not close fully, and one does not close at all, so if you bring a pet… The two wood porches are dangerous – we didn’t see any salt, but there was a broom in the house that we used to clear the ice/snow/leaves/twigs/pine needles that collect on each step. Having said all that, this house has lots of beds, a HOT water tank (be careful!), a furnace that works well, and lots of separate rooms. This place would be a great rental for a family reunion with multiple parties as each room is segregated from the others – while no one room is quite big enough for more than 6-8 people, there are lots of rooms.

Summary: We went to Lake Michigan for a quick long weekend get away. We found this listing and it allowed pets, had multiple bedrooms and multiple bathrooms - exactly what we needed. We booked which was a very easy process and wanted to be sure there weren't any problems with bringing out dog. When we arrived there were several nice touches, a hand written welcome with a small rose plant(we had mentioned we were celebrating an anniversary) and doggie bowls with a toy and small blanket as well as some snacks for our stay. It was very functional and comfortable - perfect for out visit as two of our adult children joined us for a few nights. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
