Positive: We have 2 dogs, and have stayed here before as great outdoor space for them is available.

Negative: Limited window for breakfast for residents is just an hour. This is stated on the website to be fair. However lots of signage saying breakfast 9-11.30, which is apparently only for walk ins and not residents, which caused some confusion and seems to make things unnecessarily complicated. Would definitely help if it was the same times for both walk ins and residents.

Summary: Dog friendliness is our reason for using this hotel

Positive: We needed somewhere close to Perranporth as we were collecting a kitten. The venue was perfectly placed for that, my dinner was the biggest Ploughman's I have had in a long time, I could have fed a troop off that. Staff were all helpful and friendly.

Negative: Given the heatwave, a fan in the room would have been nice, we did bring a little one with us but it was ineffectual in the main as the plug was too far away from the bed. That said, such things are temporary in nature.

Summary: Somewhere we'd come again.

Positive: The staff are very friendly and hospitable. The food up in the restaurant is good. The bed was comfortable. I was lucky enough to see a fox in the garden.

Negative: The furniture in the double single room I was in was a bit run down. I didn't like the open shower in the bathroom. The cupboard doesn't have a door. I just thought it was a bit shabby.

Positive: The beds were comfortable. The food in the pub was delicious.

Negative: When we entered the room, there was an unpleasant smell, a lot of mold, and dirty carpeting, but the most frightening thing was the insects flying over the carpet.
