Summary: Location is good but property is likely best to avoid in the winter months. Needs more than just a little TLC and certainly better outside lighting. Hopefully the remodel will correct most problems and may result in accurate photos of the property (inside and out) to assist in the decision-making process.There is no fire escape from the canal side upper deck, so only one way out from the main floor and none from master bedroom on the top level. Older people or mobility impaired guests should certainly avoid this property.

Summary: We happened to visit during a tropical cyclone! Much rain and heavy wind. We felt safe and very comfortable during the storm. The house is warm and inviting. The decor is just perfect! We loved everything about this house!!

Summary: Our stay in Tropical Oasis was amazing. The house is beautiful, super clean and the owners are so gracious and thoughtful and had the kitchen well stocked with all of the supplies (water, ice, coffee, creamer and more). We had beautiful views from the front of the home of the Bay and the back of the canal. The only downfall was being so close to I-45 and the noise if you are outside. Despite this we will be back!!

Summary: Tropical Oasis is a beautiful home with both a view of the bay and the canal. The house was extremely clean which was is always a plus to find in a rental. The owners definitely went the extra step to make sure the house was well stocked with “the perks” we would need when we got to the house like ice, water, coffee pods, creamers (brand new), and kitchen supplies. The washer and dryer were new and worked great. The back deck is huge and has a surplus of furniture to enjoy. There was a gas fire pit that we would have liked to enjoy but we’re not sure if we were allowed to use it or not. We didn’t have any maintenance issues but I am sure they would have been handled in a timely manner. The only downside was that the house is located 2 houses from 1-45 so you can hear all of the traffic if you are outside. We never really heard it much from the inside of the home. Also I never could find a “renters guide” for the house while I was there so I just did what I normally do when I leave a rental like take the trash out, strip the beds, etc. it would be nice though for a book to be added for future renters to the home. We had a great time despite the chilly weather and will definitely rent Tropical Oasis again.

Summary: Fam came in from Houston for a fun and relaxing time, and this rental delivered. Comfortable, well equipped and easily handled made this stay stress free and memorable. We were only 3 but this place is perfect for two families and kids. Boat slip on the canal made us feel like locals. Nice new dock and three porches/terraces give you endless options and room for activities. Bay and canal views alike were great. Quiet, private street made us feel safe and welcomed.

Summary: Rental was very clean, equipped and has a wonderful front view of the ocean. Perfect for a family vacation spot and minutes away from all the attractions that draw people from across the lands to the mystic island of Galveston.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. We actually booked future dates at this location and canceled what we had at another property. Only issue was that the ice maker was not operational but that was not a game changer for us. Again we were very pleased with our stay.
