Positive: Great location for the sports pavilion, nice decor, cool lobby with games and seating for my teens to hangout.

Negative: Beds are way to firm. Back and neck was hurting both nights couldn't get comfortable. Not ideal for side sleepers. There wasn't much variety at breakfast.

Positive: The location is good. Staff at the front desk is friendly. Breakfast isn't bad. Every time we have stayed here it has always been quiet.

Negative: Our room was not as clean this time as it normally is. We found long dark hair on the fitted sheet and there was a smell of sweat in the room that hit me as soon as I opened the door.

Negative: The room was not clean up to standard. There was loose hair all over the bathroom. There were stains on our bed sheets. The shower door wouldn’t close all the way. The breakfast crew could have been a little faster replacing and filling empty containers.

Negative: They overbooked the hotel by 5 rooms during a huge National volleyball tournament, where every room in Lawrence and most of KC was booked already. The breakfast was pretty lacking, everything was not staying stocked.

Summary: Some of our teammates had to book really expensive rooms at other hotels because Tru overbooked their reservations
