Summary: The staff were very friendly and attentive! The ryokan was beautiful in the snow. In the best possible way, we had a great time laughing with the staff over my stilted Japanese. The lady who showed us our room went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We had a lovely time at Shikitei, and I hope we return!

Summary: The facility is beautiful. The baths were comfortable with a lovely view. The room was stunning. The food exquisite, and the staff were impeccable. I was able to get a pescatarian dinner and breakfast which was also very appreciated. Everyone was very helpful and kind.

Summary: Shikitei is a traditional style ryokan in every way. This was my second visit and as before, the staff were second to none. They were warm efficient and welcoming. Genuine Japanese hospitality. Food was excellent and again the staff were always there to help. Thanks to everyone at Shikitei

Summary: Shiikitei Is quiet and relaxed. The staff are fantastic the food and facilities are excellent. I had the best private outdoor hot spring bath with my room I have ever seen. This alone would bring me back to Shikitei Thanks to everyone
