Although Lake Lure lake/beach/waterfront remain closed for recreational use, no boating/swimming in 2025, there is much that this area has to offer. Chimney Rock State Park is projected to open for the summer of 2025. Come to TUCKED AWAY GEM as a peaceful retreat and “home base” for visiting nearby towns, area restaurants/attractions in Lake Lure, Hendersonville & Asheville now open. There's public golf at Rumbling Bald, area wineries, breweries, music, trails, waterfalls, and more within an hour's drive of Lake Lure. Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion is hosting some of the Chimney Rock businesses on weekends. Saluda, Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, Saluda, Mills River, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Brevard are great day-trip destinations. Summary: We had family traveling from Columbia, Greenville and Clemson, SC to stay for the long holiday weekend. Lots of parking available—we had 5 cars and a small kayak trailer. The Lake Lure train for luggage and coolers worked perfectly to get our items to and from the house. We loved the interior spaces and we had everything we needed. Everyone enjoyed swimming, jumping off the dock and the SUPs got lots of use! We also watched “A Breed Apart” that was filmed at the house and all in the lake close to the house. It was neat to see how much has changed and what we recognized. We highly recommend this beautiful home!!

Summary: This house was just as described. They even had paddleboards for us to use. We did rent a boat for the week, and we were able to dock it at the house. House was clean, had all the essentials, was very close to Chimney Rock. We will rent again.

Summary: The listing is underselling itself. The place is incredible. The 100 steps are no big deal and the luggage ‘train’ is clutch. Such a chill wonderful stay. One of the best places on the lake and minutes from the grocery store and restaurants. Will 100% be staying here again

Summary: Great stay on Lake Lure. There are a lot of steps to get down to the house, but this was made clear and we loved that the house walked right out to the lake. Everything was as communicated, couldn’t ask for an easier renting experience.

Summary: This home is on a quiet cove, perfect for floating on rafts and using SUPs! Check in was smooth, the property was clean and well equipped. We used all of the outdoor decks and toys extensively.. even enjoyed a trip around the lake on a pontoon boat from a kind neighbor! Highly recommend this property. Grocery store is 3 min drive. Plenty to do and see locally yet we just relaxed at the house and enjoyed the serene surroundings!! There are truly 100 steps down to the home.. your cardio workout is included : ) You will not be disappointed with this hidden gem listing!!

Summary: Property manager was very attentive. The house was our favorite so far of our 4 trips to Lake Lure. The downstairs kitchen to deck set up was perfect. The teens loved jumping off the boat house . We rented a boat for a couple of days too. Green paddle board was awesome . Great house. We will be back
