There is a $300 pet fee for your furry friends.
Just inside the bright, airy main house's open floor plan is the kitchen-boasting loads of storage and counter space and a breakfast bar for four. Beyond, the dining area is highlighted by a stylish globe chandelier and offers access to the covered porch. You can savor snacks inside or while lounging on the comfy seating outside (relaxing to briny breezes and ocean lullabies). The natural-light-filled inside living space tenders sparkling seascapes as well as egress to the deep, water-facing back porch.
Upstairs, the first bedroom is furnished with a Queen and Twin bunk beds. It houses two closets and its ensuite bath features a tub/shower. The sunlit King Owner's Suite wows with South Beach panoramas from inside and out on its private porch-the perfect spot for a quiet morning coffee or to admire the sunset while overlooking South Beach. You'll appreciate the suite's walk-in closet and the Primary Bath's dual vanity and tub/shower.
Between the main house and the home's crofter is a good-sized, fenced patio and grill. The latter is perfect for preparing meals to be relished in the large screened dining porch on the first level of the adjacent crofter. Enjoy the outdoors, fresh sea air and tasty treats right here.
On the level above is the property's crofter. This more private suite has its own ocean-view balcony and provides a Queen and a Twin Trundle as well as a sitting area, mini-fridge and ensuite bath with a tub.

Reviewer Comments: We recently stayed at Queen’s View on BHI, and overall, I’d give it 3/5 stars. While the property was not our original booking (we had to switch due to construction delays), it was much farther from the marina but closer to the island’s shops, which was convenient.The house was generally clean, but we did find dirty towels in the laundry area that weren’t ours, and some of the dishes were unclean. The provided “starter kit” of supplies was disappointing — no trash bags, minimal dishwasher detergent, and no hand or dish soap. Had they been more specific, I could have easily packed those items, instead of having to buy them at the market. On a positive note, the home had a good selection of board games and activities, which kept the kids entertained, especially when we lost power during a hurricane.Wendy Wilmot Properties was accommodating, allowing us to change our dates twice due to unforeseen circumstances. They also provided a golf cart at the marina, which was a helpful perk since the house was farther from the marina than our original rental.Unfortunately, the master showerhead was in poor condition and the bathroom plug didn’t work, limiting the kids to baths in the other bathroom. However, that shower lacked a liner, so it couldn’t be used for showers. Small fixes like these would greatly improve the property.Lastly, clearer details about available items like boogie boards, sand toys, and a hair dryer would have been helpful, as we unnecessarily brought these along. While the island was wonderful for exploring, I wouldn’t book this house again due to these inconveniences.

The location is fantastic, nestled South Bald Head halfway between Shoals Club and BHI Club, with an easy walk to the beach. The house itself was immaculate and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and intimate setting with two bedrooms in the main cottage and a separate guest house perfect for our two friends.One of the highlights was that the owners are pet-friendly, so we could bring Twix, our Boykin Spaniel, along for our beach adventure. Although we encountered a flat tire on our golf cart, Wendy Wilmot Properties quickly resolved the issue the same day, even providing us with a second cart to use in the meantime. Their service was top-notch, as always, and we continue to be impressed by the quality of homes they manage.It was a perfect beach retreat, and we can't wait to return!

The location is great (close to the Shoals, market, Mike’s Bites), with views of the ocean from almost every window. I enjoyed many hours on the shaded porch listening to the waves and reading. The house was very well equipped with beach chairs, games, great kitchen supplies. We would definitely consider returning to this property!

Couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather and the rental was better than advertised; sparkling clean, perfect location atop the dune, quiet but a two minute walk across the street to the beach. 15, 13 and 9 year old fit fine in the 2nd bedroom (didn’t use the crofter) One issue with the golf cart was promptly addressed by WWP. 5/5 and we’ll be back!
