Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We were the first booking guests to stay in this newly build resort. The facilities are brand new and nice. Each room is essentially a small free-standing bungalow equipped with a nicely spacious bedroom and a good bathroom with nice water pressure. The beds are good, as is the AC. Staff is very attentive and nice, as is the owner (who even graciously dropped us off at San Juan on our first day before we got a scooter). San Juan is about a ten minute drive away. Outstanding feature is the cliffside patio at the back of the hotel. Amazing view, as well as a (nice and safe) stairway down to the sea for snorkling. Having breakfast at the cliff, then seeing a sea turtle on a morning swim was simply incredibly cool. In short, we had a very pleasant stay.

Negative: Ongoing minor construction at the time we stayed here (2026-05-12), but we didn't consider it intrusive and it did not affect our room or enjoyment at all. Work seemed close to finished in general, so this is probably only the case for a short time still.
