Nature enthusiasts will be thrilled to learn whales have been spotted from the deck, along with bald eagles and numerous other shorebirds nesting at the nearby Three Arch Rocks Wildlife Refuge. This home is just a short walk from Oceanside Beach State Park and "the Tunnel" under Maxwell Point, only three miles from the historic Cape Meares Lighthouse and its neighboring Octopus Tree, and within a dozen miles of downtown Tillamook, the legendary Tillamook Creamery, and the incredible Tillamook Air Museum.
Prepare anything from your morning coffee to elaborate, full-course dinners in the well-equipped kitchen, and then dine in the cozy breakfast nook or in the more formal dining area - perfect for mealtimes or rainy day board games! After meals, switch on the gas fireplace and settle into the main living area to stream your favorite TV channels, or head down to the lower level through its separate entrance which leads to a stone patio with an ocean view, crafting table, and garden path. While you're there, you'll also find an additional living space with a second TV, an electric fireplace, a table and chairs for your laptops, and a convenient wet bar.

Summary: If you are a person who prefers to hear and watch the waves rather than jump them, then this home with its cozy fireplace and large deck is for you. The beach is a ten minute walk away and the hill climb is steep. Kitchen is fully stocked with tools and pans.

Summary: This was our third time staying here. The view is still very impressive. The house itself is comfortable throughout. The one challenge last year was the old smell of cigarette smoking that has pervaded the woodwork and ceiling tiles. It was still there this year, but it seemed to have lessened We found the downstairs bed more comfortable. As others have mentioned, if you are wanting to stay put, you should probably stock up on groceries in Tillamook before heading out to Oceanside as there are few shopping options in the area. We had some chowder and fish tacos from the Oceanside Surf Co. one day for lunch and the food was excellent. Again--the view and the deck... Hard to beat.

Summary: Vintage 50s home but with updated appliances and furniture and nicely kept up. Panoramic view. Loved the Rube Goldberg rain catcher and the in-house optical illusion. Parking was a bit challenging - driveway off Maxwell Mtn is closest to house but kind of steep and uneven and you have to back out uphill. We ended up unloading passengers and bags at the top of it and then parking down below on Chinook and walking up the stairs

Summary: Love the mid century mod design and blue themes throughout the home. Lots of pretty, artistic, and funny touches from the owners to match home's age and theme. Look for cute surprises. Ocean views on the deck or hillside garden views on the lower floor plus lots of chairs provided. Everything was labeled well and easy to find; it's clear these owners know how to help guests. On the big hill with other homes, so very quiet and peaceful. Faces south so you see sunrise and sunset, but not too directly. If you have mobility issues, be aware there are stairs to go up (from street parking) or down (from garage parking) in order to enter the home. We saw a bald eagle. Maybe you will too?

Summary: We had a great time! Amazing view for morning coffee and relaxing on the couch. Everything you need to cook is there. Lots of extra blankets and towels. Other than the view my favorite part was back porch area on the lower level, so many cool rocks and shells to go through. I love that. Kid friendly. Moon light fixture by the bunk beds that have built in drawers. I wish there had been a dresser downstairs. We will be back next year. Thank you! The price, the house and the view were perfect for our needs. PS this is a very small town and you’ll want to do your food shopping in Tillamook.
