Positive: I have stayed at Tyax a few times over the years, the first time I was 14, the year they opened. The staff are amazing, the rooms themselves are very nice and have comfy beds.
Negative: I booked a forest facing room but what we got instead was a dirt pile. Unbeknownst to me, there was a very loud construction project going on, so the day I didn't feel well and wanted to stay in the room and read was ruined with a power washer tool to break up hard soil and a pump tube sucking it all up into a truck right outside our window. There was no mention of this on the website, and I wasn't informed by email prior to check in. I wasn't going to write this review, but after mentioning it to the front desk staff, then emailing them the day after our stay and also filling in their feedback form I have heard nothing from management. The lodge is beautiful and I wish I could leave it at that but I do not feel valued as a guest, nor do I think my feedback mattered to management, Disappointed.

Positive: Amazing location and amenities. Truly dog friendly!! Staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Will be going back with mtn bikes next time. Well worth the drive
Negative: Draw back of a lake facing room was that it got pretty warm in the afternoon and evening, Room could have done with a fan just to circulate the air a bit more
