Welcome to our farmhouse Ortensia Biancospino. Located in the green hills of Versilia, only 7 kilometers from the sea, a few Kilometres from the Apuan Alps.
The house consists of 2 semi-detached houses fully self contained and completely independent Ortensia and Biancospino. Each one of them has its private garden and its own entrance on opposit sides of the building. The elegant style and attention to detail, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
It is Located on the hillside overlooking the sea of Forte dei Marmi (only 6 km from the house) and surrounded by hills covered by centennial olive trees and vineyards .It offers a quiet relaxing atmosphere and it is a very romantic location .
Immersed in the nature and in the quiet, you can get to the house walking up few easy stairs of an ancient typical stairway.
The access to the house is only via ancient easy stairway 43m (1 minute). It is an easy ancient mule track. These steps leads you to a romantic paradise. The holiday house has a lift to bring luggages to the house.
Perfect base for a holiday , far from busy crowds and yet with easy access to all main Tuscan attractions and resorts. From each room of the holiday house the view is panoramic , sweeping over the Tuscan hills and valley to the sea beyond.
The house is laid out over two floors.
Ground floor: it has a large living room equipped with a fireplace 1 sofa bed for 2 people,1 sofa, TV flat screen 42”, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with all modern facilities, dish washer, microwave, cooker, fridge, freezer, kettle, all cutlery, crockery pots pans and all you need to cook with.The dining room opens onto the lovely terrace surrounded by the greenery and equipped with table, chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue.
First floor: upstairs there are 2 new bathrooms (shower,basin,bidet,WC), a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. From each room you can enjoy a beautiful view which extends from the hills to the sea.All windows are fitted with mosquito nets.
Outside of the property : private garden shaded by olive and fruit trees, it is bordered by a stream and it's equipped with barbecue, table, chairs and deck-chairs. The intimate terrace surrounded by olive trees and birdsong is lovely for eating out , relaxing, or sitting with a glass of wine.

-Farmhouse Ortensia is located in Strettoia, a delightful hamlet .The house is located near the heart of the village ( 500mt) you can walk to get bread or newspaper. The village shops: Pizzerias, Restaurants, Bar, Grocers, Greengrocers, Tobacconist's, Paper shop, Pharmacia, Hairdresser.

Summary: The apartment has a good location in a quiet area, surrounded by garden with fruit trees. This location provide easy access to the beach and local shops along with a variety of good quality restaurants a short drive away. The owners supplied us with a list of attractions including restaurants The apartment is spacious clean and has most of the items you would require, all in all an enjoyable stay. Thank you

Summary: We spent one week at Lorella's house (Ortensia) , the house is very cosy, the terrace and outdoor space is very green and bowery, it was very pleasant to stay under orange tree either relax or work with laptop. Besides of surrouning beauty, we really enjoyed the sound therapy of flowing brook near the house with a very small waterfall. I have never heard anywhere such a beuatiful voice of the birds early in the morning as we had in this location. I highly recommend this apartments to all since either of the spaces indoor and outdoor are absolutely gorgeous and cosy. I suggest to the owners to clarify in more details in the house rules (where is written that we shouldn't leave any rubbush inside after check out) what to do with the rubbish when your check out date doesn't correspond to the schedule of service who collects this rubbish. It was unconvience for us. Also please update the list of the nearest locations. In fact there was no bancomat confirm to address mentioned in your list. It is just a small improvment for your perfect house, thank you Lorella and Fabio for creating and taking care of all this beauty.

Summary: Our family of 5 (age 21 – 70) spent 7 days in this typical Tuscan house. I am recommending this farmhouse to all of my family and friends! And I would love to go back one day. It’s well restored and maintained and very clean. It is located in a very private setting set back from the road . The photos on the site show exactly what you get. The surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing. The house is in a quiet village and it is perfect for relaxation and equally well placed for daily trips to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. Close to the beach and ideal for exploring the heart of Tuscany. Lorella welcomed us and immediately advised us of places to see and good restaurants to dine. She was very kind and gave us all the needed information. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet stay after a busy day of being a tourist in Tuscany.

Summary: Apparently, we didn't interpret the description correctly, because there was a 10-minute (at least) vertical climb over ancient steps/stones access to this beautiful home. Turns out 2 of our party of 4 could not make the climb, and (thank goodness) were able to get a room at the gorgeous small hotel just a few minutes down the road. It was disappointing not to be able to be together, prepare meals, etc. The description, or pictures, should have been more clear. But, the home was beautiful, the view spectacular. I was sure we read that there was a washer, but there was not, so you might need to make an extra trip down and up to go to the laundromat. Parking was on the street, so, as you might expect, a bit challenging. The location, though, was perfect, fairly close to the free beach (spectacular!), Lucca, Pisa, other wonderful local towns and the train to Cinque Terre. Basically, know that you need to be fit, and maybe younger than us (60's) to stay at this lovely home.

Summary: We had a great time at Ortensia this August.The house is beautifully located on a hill.The apartment is very nice and clean as well as the landscape surrounding it is beautiful.The landlords were very friendly and helpful and we received quick answers to all questions asked.They also gave us some nice insider-tips where to eat,shop and which beach is not to crowded.we had a wonderful time here and we would recommend this house to everybody!we will come back for sure. Summary: The house Ortensia was perfect for two couples. We loved the calm terrasse and it was close to the beaches, famous cities and other sights of interests by car. There are also restaurants in a walking distance. You have to walk some stairs to reach the house, but it was worth it!

The area is perfect for holidays with children : very pretty cities and monuments (Pisa, Lucca, San Geminiano, Carrara) and beautiful beaches. Summary: Dear Fabio & Lorella, we stayed for 3 weeks in your wonderfull house in Strettoia. When we arrived Fabio helped us immediately with bringing our luggage upstairs. Because of the stairs there was a very handy luggage-elivator. The stairs are no problem whatsoever cause even my 82 year old mother can climbe it easely! We very much liked the house and miss the cosy diningroom with its large table. Sitting on the terras we enjoyed the wine and cooies you gave us on ferragosto, thank you! We had a fantastic time and we are gratefull for the information you gave us about seeing the sights. Also much appreciated are your quick responses to our questions by textmessage. Back in Holland we still talk about our vacation with much pleasure!

Summary: What you see is what you get! Quite , private and 100%Tuscan countryside enjoyment.We stayed at Lorella' lovely house one week in June . We found the perfect location for us.The property was very clean , well manteined and equipped.The house is well located : 10 minutes by car from the beach ; 30 minutes by car from Pisa ,Lucca,Cinque Terre...We highly recommend Lorella' s cottage and hospitality .

Summary: well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is exactly as described on the website. A totally ideal place for a lovely break. The location is excellent for exploring Tuscany . Very conveniently located for Florence and for day trips to Lucca, Pisa , 5 terre … It is a very peaceful location and after a 'hard day' of sightseeing sitting on the terrace in the evening with a glass of local red wine is bliss! Lorella and Fabio are very warm and friendly people and helpful with local info. Beautiful place, lots to see and do and would recommend to friends and family!
