Positive: The position is very good. The bathroom is comfortable.
Negative: There were no proper bed sheets, I had to sleep on a sort of foam. There was an intolerable smell of mold in the room.

Positive: Location was great: in the heart of the historic centre. Room was very clean. Bed very comfortable. WIFI was fast and reliable. Double locks meant building was secure. Very quiet at night and in morning. Parking is outside the historic centre and very reasonable. Coffee available in many nearby shops.
Negative: No toiletries. Room smaller than anticipated. Reaching it meant climbing many narrow stairs. Fan provided (no A/C). Because the hotel is within the historic area, you must walk to it rather than drive.

Positive: Great location. Tiny but clean and comfortable.
Negative: The WiFi reception was very spotty, and sometimes completely out. Frustrating. But perhaps it is that way all over town being down in a valley? Second, the stairwell lights sometimes would not come on at all. No windows. No light. Pitch black and dangerous to feel one’s way on the stairs to where a door could be opened to finally see. Very dangerous!
Summary: Charming little place but some serious problems that need correction.

Positive: Imagine yourself in a medieval fairy tale. We traveled for Christmas. That is why we chose Cesky Krumlov as the place where we, as a family, will spend the festive night itself. I tried to choose the most atmospheric place for the night, and I was not mistaken. The ancient house on the steps to the medieval castle made an unforgettable impression. Interesting, somewhat spontaneous architecture of the building. Wooden stairs inside. Strange non-rectangular rooms. The impression that you are really in the Middle Ages. My daughter was especially excited with the bears that live in the castle moat a hundred meters from the apartment. There was no permanent staff in the house for Christmas, but the keys were kindly left for us in a secret place and this quest also impressed my daughter. The rooms are small, but very nice. We lived on the top floor and we had two little windows through the roof. Church bells and the noise of the Vltava could be heard through these windows. The breakfast was not ritch, but tasty and enough to spend half a day walking around charming Cesky Krumlov. I am not looking for modern comfort and services. I am looking for atmosphere and unusual accommodations. Without a doubt, this is one of the best places we've stayed. And my family was absolutely exited. Thanks to the owners for the Christmas story. I defenetely recommend.

Positive: Worth being aware that there are steep, narrow stairs and some low ceilings inside the building, but lovely room, great value, really characterful building, and in an incredible location a few seconds walk from the castle.
