Part of a large family property, this Provencal farmhouse with a surface area of 180m2 (1940ft2), is a reconverted silkworm farm built in the 1650s, which was completely and tastefully renovated to be both modern respectful of traditions. With stone facades, exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, and stone staircases, all come subtly espouse its contemporary design. The property can house 8 people in 4 rooms, including a dormitory. The garden was carefully redesigned to include an in-ground pool where you will take pleasure in cooling down. The travertine terrace houses a living room and an exterior dining room, as well as a barbecue where, in the evening, you can enjoy cocktails with un unobstructed view of the landscape. Summary: We, four adults, two children (8 and 12) had a very nice 14 day holliday. Not the biggest pool we ever had, but large enough to entertain the children for two weeks. The house is spacious, in particular the living room, and stays cool during the day. This allowed for all to spend some time inside (read, play, watch a movie) during the hottest part of the day (38+ degrees). There are some very nice, but sometimes steep tracks, just up the road to do some walking or trailrunning. Good to know, the house is flanked by two other properties, but even though they were occupied during our stay we did not notice (and we had no complaints about the noise produced by the children in the pool). Made the garden feel like a private courtyard. Special mention for the concierge/property manager, who was very helpful and acted directly on our questions. In short: only positives, definitely recommended.
