Positive: Great experience, staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet location, maybe a 15 minute drive to page. The only negative thing I'd say is the food at the restaurant wasn't fantastic considering the price. Would 100% recommend staying here though.

Positive: Everything. First, I booked for the wrong night, called and Michelle was so gracious and was able to move our reservation to the right day. We were there late Oct, actually 2 days before they closed for the season, and staff acted like it was their first week. The stove in the tent kept us plenty warm. The bed was so comfortable. And we were surprised at how good the shower was. And then, the stars. The milky way was right out our tent. So incredible. And with a short 30min walk - a slot canyon. The food options were good.
Negative: That we only stayed one night

Positive: Under Canvas Lake Powell is in a fantastic location with beautiful views and friendly staff. The common areas (reception and the indoor/outdoor cafes and firepits) are very pleasant indeed - a great place to sit and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets. The tents are a good size and simply but stylishly decorated with all you need for an 'off grid' stay. The showers were surprisingly good as well.
Negative: Unfortunately there were a few issues that took away the enjoyment of the experience (and we've stayed at other glamping locations)... 1. The bed frame in our tent (#50) was exceptionally squeaky. It was incredibly loud in the quiet night, such that any movement at all including turning over as softly as possible would wake up my partner (and probably those in tents all around). Which brings me to... 2. The tents are actually quite close together, and sound carries at night. With an instagrammer talking loudly to her contacts late into the night in the tent below, and then with a couple somewhere else close by having a spirited discussion (possibly an argument, but our German wasn't up to following) at 2am for an hour another night we had quite disturbed sleeps even with earplugs. 3. Using paper plates and plastic cups at the restaurant seems just plain wrong. Firstly wine in a plastic cup (even if it's recyclable) is not pleasurable. If water and electricity for cleaning at the campsite is an issue, then surely glasses and crockery/cutlery could be washed in the nearby town. Yes, recycling is better than not recycling, but I would have expected that just washing plates and glasses would be even better. 4. There were far more tents on the site than I expected. Rather than looking out to open views, we were looking at lots of other tents. It's a lovely place, for sure, but don't expect to be opening your tent door to a gorgeous uninterrupted vista.
Summary: Fantastic location and lovely staff, but some issues

Positive: The kitchen staff were friendly and informative - the food & drinks were excellent. The music during dinner was nice. The property offered great views, with dark skies (although this was during full moon, so not as dark as it would've been). We enjoyed hiking around the slot canyon area on site. This needs to be promoted a little more and have better trail markings. The parking was convenient enough. The noise level was low for the most part. Some of the staff were very helpful and made for a better stay, such as the one who set up a stargazing scope (not a telescope, though) & gave tips on taking cell phone pics of the Milky Way. The other guests were great and we had very nice conversations during our meals. S'mores were a fun touch.
Negative: Staff training could be better. Some of the staff didn't seem to know how to answer questions or provide good instructions as to starting the room fires or even how to keep the portable lights charged. We had everything figured out after the first night, but we would've liked a little better hands-on instruction in the tent rather than being talked through it all in the lobby before seeing the layout. The price is a little steep, considering the value of the accomodations. Aside from breakfast & dinner, a little live music and some stargazing (which we had to request - and even then were told that the person who could set up a telescope was not in for the night), we were on our own for the majority of our time. We're glad we did this, but I don't think we would do it again, considering the price.
Summary: Expensive, but a good experience overall & glad we did this 'glamping' once
