Summary: Pete is an absolute marvelous host. Was very accommodating and considerate. Helped us find places and things to do. Assisted in shipping items back to the states, even dropping by at a moments notice to lend a hand. Everything was as stated in the listing, even better than we thought. If the time ever comes, we would gladly go back again.

Summary: What a house! This was simply great for a group of 10 person ( or families- couples- whatever! ) we had no couples- and the sleeping arrangements were great. Una rang me about bed arrangements beforehand and that in Germany to check what we needed/ 10 points! Una was in London when we were there but I hope to meet her sometime.I’m definitely going back! From the very beginning the communication was great. We got there late - near midnight ( later arrival !) but Pete wrote that there was bread and tea/ coffee etc. there. We devoured it! He gave us a great tip for breakfast the next morning- Avoca Cafe, down the road and it’s a must! Avoca do a delicious breakfast. Pete was a fountain of knowledge about what we should do and we did it . The location of the house is in a quiet area, just a quick walk down the road to a pub where we spent the last evening playing snooker and darts - an unforgettable evening- down the hill were more pubs and restaurants. You can drive north, south, east or west and you encounter the beauty of Wicklow - enchanting. But the house itself is such that you end up spending so much time there that you simply have to come to Wicklow again. It’s so individual and so much love has gone into it that you feel happy there. We had a wonderful barbecue on the first evening and there is so much character in the house and Pete will tell you all about. We loved it. Thank you both and hope to see you again at your very special, amazing house. Deirdre

Summary: We LOVED our week stay at Pete and Una’s home in Ashford. The home is situated up on a hill surrounded by lush green and chirping birds. It was magical. So close to town for food and our favorite - Irish breakfast & coffee! The lodge is very unique, artsy, and equipped with everything needed. We felt right at home. Cozy, warm, extremely spacious for our family of five. It was such a comfortable haven for us to return to every day. My kids loved lighting the fireplace, showering in the outdoor shower, exploring the area, and especially having their own large bedroom and bathroom. It was the best! We hope to return to Pete and Una’s home. It made our trip so special and memorable. We appreciate how welcoming, helpful, and kind they were during our stay. Thank you! ❤️
