Summary: We stayed at this property for 2 months and found it to be exactly as pictured in the listing. The home is very roomy, immaculate, comfortable and peaceful. It felt like home. The view is amazing and we enjoyed spending time on the the expansive deck watching beautiful sunsets, and the many birds feeding from the birdfeeders. We visited and enjoyed many activities and events in and around Virginia City, Reno, Carson City and Lake Tahoe and were thrilled to see the beautiful wild horses that roam the expansive hills in the area. The hosts were perfect in every way, and made us feel very welcome. They were close by and always available to answer any questions we had. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. We hope to go back for another stay, and highly recommend this property,

Summary: Superb in so many ways-from the spacious home with open floorplan and different levels for all 3 bedrooms, to the fully stocked, modern kitchen with so many appliances, the incredible mountain views, numerous birds visiting the porch, we had an incredible time. We plan to bring our extended family (home sleeps 8+) and stay for over a month, this was just a reconnaissance trip, and it exceed all our expectations! We also had so much fun in Virginia City and can't wait to visit again.

Summary: My husband and I had a perfect time at this wonderful home. It was exceptionally clean with outstanding views and beautiful wildlife. Our host Connie made sure the home was appointed with just about every amenity you could think of. My pups and I enjoyed wild horses during our morning walks and humming birds in the evening. We will definitely be back to stay at Cabin in the Sky! Thanks again for everything!

Summary: Our experience with the hosts has truly been exceptional! Connie has been most gracious, very thoughtful, attentive and accommodating! The Cabin is beautifully decorated, their attention to detail in providing us every comfort of home, minus the stress, is abundantly offered throughout the cabin. The Guide book they provide is a must read, filled with very useful information to enhance your stay. We highly recommend you follow their advice and suggestions for touring! Connie made sure that we had a 4WD vehicle and it was absolutely essential because of the terrain and inclement conditions. They are very knowledgeable and lead you in the right direction, so trust them! They made our 8 days truly magical, we returned feeling refreshed ready for our home and work routine. Their thoughtfulness extends to pets as well :) our little dog didn’t lack any comfort, they provided beds, treats, food and toys!!! Most places allow dogs but without any provisions. Our family truly had a fabulous experience with wonderful board games such as trivial pursuit, cards,…and very enjoyable books! The cabin has kids rooms, and kids hideouts in their rooms, so personalized! The kitchen is such a pleasure to use, hosts provide every comfort from teas, coffee, breakfast oatmeal, meals for a day or two, baking supplies including flour, baking powder, soda, butter and truly much more! We highly recommend Cabin in the Sky, this is our favorite place now and will be returning every chance we get!

Summary: WOW, what an amazing home. Only ½ hr from Reno airport, also Mt Rose ski/snowboarding is only 30 minutes away. The place looked just like the pictures, centered amongst lots of hills covered with trees & snow, with mountains in the distance and very few homes, such privacy! We enjoyed the beautiful scenery from the front deck, which overlooks a vast fenced yard. Plenty of room for dogs/kids to run around and play in the snow. We could warm up next to the fireplace in the living room or by the wood burning stove in the family room or take a soak in the claw footed bathtub in the master bath. Lots of board games, plus Roku stick so we could watch movies on the streaming TV. The home was very clean, there were plenty of dishes, pots & pans, utensils and small appliances in the well-stocked kitchen, I made soup in the Instant Pot plus there’s a blender & rice cooker too. Host communicated well and put out some nice treats for us on arrival-a basket with pasta, sauce, hot chocolate/cider and breakfast staples like oatmeal and pancake mix not to mention coffee & teas. We would love to come back again and explore historic Virginia City even more and bring our telescope to better see the crystal clear night sky with thousands of stars. It’s impossible to see so many stars where we live, it was a “stellar” experience for sure!
