Summary: I stayed for 3 weeks in Barbados at this property. It is really only a large hotel room with ensuite bathroom. Sadly it is interconnected by a locked door to another room. This was occupied during most of my stay by families with babies and children and was extremely noisy at night with babies crying. I also have to say the property was not as described in the ' Notes' section of the description on the site. It does not have a washer/dryer as stated. The very small. kitchen area had 2 knives 2 forks 2 plates and 2 cups. and 2 glasses, 2 pans and minibar sized fridge. I merely mention this in case anyo ne is hoping for a full kitchen as is usually the case with properties advertised on Homeaway. I ate out most of the time. This property is in a Time Share hotel Hotel which is rather isolated from the rest of the Island. so you would need a car or be prepared to take taxis everywhere. However the grounds of the resort are very very nice. several pools, and what would normally be a very lovely beach. This is covered with sargassum smelly seaweed which is brought in by the Atlantic tide. They do not have this problem on the Carribean side of the Island. This has been deposited on the beach since 2008 according to the people I spoke with. The Hotel offers really 7 day cheap packages from Canada and the US and is now being run by Hilton Grand Vacations. Barbados surprised me as the people on the Island are very poor the Island is in need of TLC especially the roads and the there are only a few beaches which have not been seriously eroded by the sea. I met some lovely Barbadian people when I was there, but sadly I do not think I would return in the very near future. The new prime minister has a long job ahead of her after the corruption of the last ten years. To be fair this has nothing to do with the property but I thought I would just provide a fair general picture of my stay over 3 weeks.

Summary: This was our second visit to the resort so we knew what to expect. Beautiful beach, adult only pool and also large pools that are family friendly. Several wonderful restaurants on the property but also 2 great spots just off the property and within walking distance: Cutters and Marco Polo. Booking through Julie was easy and safe. I would I definitely do it again. One thing to note, by booking thru a member, you are a guest of that member. As a member, Check out is 10am, as it’s noted on this site but if you book thru the hotel check out is noon. The hotel is very accommodating to hold your bags and offer showers to change if you happen to have a later flight. This wasnt an issue, just something I think can be helpful to know. We will definitely be back!

Summary: The resort and rooms are clean and well cared for. The only thing missing from this resort is a hot tub by the pool area. The grounds are so beautiful at night that sipping a rum punch with my feet in a warm hot tub would have been icing on the cake! Will recommend to all our friends.

Summary: Thank you for having us in your suite. So beautiful and felt luxurious with the ocean breeze and king size bed. So nice to make our own breakfast each morning and we brought our own espresso perculator to make in room iced lattes! The room was cleaned each day and the food on site was fantastic! Don't have to go off site to eat. I read 5 books and we enjoyed wonderful lazy days at the beach and pool. The beach sand restaurant was awesome with a great manager and fresh Mahi Mahi with salad and cheap Banks beer. The Italian restaurant had wonderful risotto and pasta, and the Seafood Restaurant was elegant and wonderful food. The pools are fantastic with lots of space for everyone. The lower pool is so nice for kids and adults with the gradual walk in areas. We did a catamaran day with RnR Catamaran Cruises. Fantastic hosts and so much more enjoyable with only 14 guests on board. Going into Bridgetown was fine to see, but The Crane is where it is at for rest and relaxation!!! Meshel & Rob Canada

Summary: Although we weren't able to stay in a full condo type of room, we still really liked the smaller "hotel like" room that we were assigned. The property is quite relaxing with the most gorgeous beach that I have seen. The resort is full with trees and flowers through out the resort. The pools were great for us in the evening. The restaurants had good food, and if you got tired of them, there was another restaurant just down the street. The Wifi was good. The grocery store nearby would pick you up if you needed some groceries and bring you back. We really liked this resort and don't have any complaints however the only thing that I wished it had, was a hot tub Jacuzzi outside by the pools to go in at night time. I recommend Staying at the Crane and we will most likely be going back soon.
