Summary: We frequently stay in this rental home for work. It is conveniently located and equipped with all of the essentials. We enjoy spending our free time after work cooling down in the creek behind the house, hiking, and making trips into town for good pizza and beer at Backwoods Brewing Co.

Summary: It was a beautiful location, we could hear the creek and the frogs at night. It's also close to tons of things to do. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen has the basics. We had an amazing time, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Summary: Older house in the woods. Spotless and clean. No curtains on windows but then trees hide you from the neighbors. Beds were comfortable. No internet but cell phones worked just fine. Nearby creek and lots of hiking paths. Overall, I would book again.

Summary: Fantastic property in a great location. Close to all of the glory of the Gifford Pinchot Nat Forest. 3 great bedrooms and lots of space. Good kitchen and fire pit with grate for outdoor cooking (if no burn ban). Bring some outdoor chairs.

Summary: Loved the location. The quiet and the stream sound was very relaxing. However didn’t enjoy the two mice on Saturday night and found the tub to be slippery

Summary: The only thing that we didn’t LOVE about this property was mice. It was in a beautiful setting and we had the time offline that we all desperately needed. Thank you for an awesome stay!!!

Summary: Wow! So clean! And surrounded by lush green forest and right by a stream you can hear with the windows open. The coordinates tried to take us deep into the woods an hour away from the actually easy to reach location. Learn from us and just follow the written directions. Out walking one day we ran into a member of the nonprofit group that is working to restore the forest, homes and old forestry buildings in the area. He gave us a tour of the old Civilian Conservation Corps building they are fixing up and it was beautiful! We were so happy to hear this area is being fixed up and loved. I loved staying here with my family and loved getting to be in such an inspiring up and coming historical town. I definitely recommend staying here and walking around the experimental forest, the old location of Trout Creek Dam, and the surrounding area. Sleep with the widows open!

Summary: Remote, quiet getaway! House was immaculate and very comfortable. Perfect for us and pup. A few things to note so future visitors are not surprised: 1. No wifi or cellular data service at the house 2. No window coverings 3. Driveway would be tricky to find in the dark, as you drive through a largely unused research facility. Even in the daylight we weren't sure if we should be there! Just things to be aware of. I highly recommend staying here for those wanting to escape and enjoy some real peace and quiet.
