This fully-renovated vacation property is located across the street from the historic train that runs every weekend in the summer and one block from downtown shopping and dining. We're 20 minutes from Champaign and 25 minutes from Decatur. You’ll love the comfy beds, the cozy living spaces, and the convenient access. It's historic and charming, but completely comfortable and updated for your convenience. We're great for families with kids, big groups, and corporate retreats.
The house features four private bedrooms on the second floor, a trundle daybed with two twin beds on the main floor, and one sleeper sofa. We can also add an air mattress or pack-and-play style crib to any room. Guestrooms each have a bed, comfortable chairs, a 32" television, and an ceiling fan. There are two bathrooms shared among all of the guestrooms, one on the main floor and one on the second floor.
The Zybell House is located one block northeast of historic downtown Monticello. There are multiple restaurants, bars, and shops within a 5 minute walk. We are also located directly across the street from the historic train depot and less than 10 minutes from Allerton Park and Retreat Center.
Street parking and off-street municipal parking lots are located to the north and west of the Zybell House. Both parking options are free.

Summary: The host was very accommodating with our late check out. The first impression of the house not the best, as the yard needed mowed and the outside could have been cleaned up a bit, but the inside of the house was very nice, and everything was spotless. Overall was a good experience.

Summary: House was Pristine fully stocked with everything we needed for a 5 day stay. Plenty of space to comfortably host 8 guests of different ages. Only 20 minutes to U of I. Owner was extremely accommodating.

Summary: Thank you Samantha for making our stay at Zybell House the perfect place for our Spring Break visit. From the extras like two pack and plays, a high chair, baby gates and kid table to the variety of kitchen items and the coffee bar, Zybell House is a great place for any group or family. The location is terrific for kids and adults with Nick's Park just down the street and downtown a block away. It was my first stay back in Monticello in about 25 years and I loved every minute.
