Access to hiking and XC Skiing trails on the property and close to Sugarbush and Stowe resorts. After skiing or hiking, relax in the hot tub in winter or swim in the swimming pool in summer. Enjoy the newly renovated kitchen for family dinners and sit around the fire in the evening. This is an extremely private and quiet property where you can enjoy Vermont at its purest

This home is located off of Rt. 100 on a steep dirt road so you will need adequate vehicles and tires to get up the hill. We are not responsible for whether or not you can make it up the hill so please prepare accordingly. If conditions are at all snowy, any cars without both 4WD and snow tires should remain up at the house during the length of their stay. The chances of a 2WD/non snow tire car getting stuck, thereby blocking the road for everybody, are very high.

Summary: The house is well stocked and comfortably housed our family of 6. The property is beautiful and the trails were fun to explore with our dog who was in her glory ! The weather did not cooperate unfortunately (rainy and foggy) but if the conditions were better we would have thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor area and hot tub - really nice set up! We enjoyed cozy time by the wood burning stove and big family meals at the beautiful rustic dining tables. My only reservation about the house is the access road to get to it. They did thoroughly warn us that 4 wheel drive is a necessity, and that is the truth! I was not comfortable driving down with the muddy slippery conditions but my son was able to safely get our truck down. So if you are not used to rugged mountain driving you may want to have someone else drive ! It’s worth it once you get there!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and only wished we could stay longer. Pros: -Amazing communication from the Mad River Valley management company -Great location with plenty of recommendations for deleicius food/beer in the vicinity -Gorgeous property with wild blueberries and blackberries everywhere!We appreciated the privacy secluded on the top of the hill -Plenty of space/several different areas of the home to hang out. Front screened in porch was perfect for playing games when the mosquitoes came out, covered side porch was perfect for the passing rain we had. Very separate master bedroom was perfect for our friends with an infant. Cons: -the pool was a bit cloudy, some dirt in the bottom.. but the beautiful wooded surroundings made up for it. Nothing we wouldnt still swim in. -some of the mattresses were uncomfortable

Summary: My husband and I just spent seven days at this beautiful farmhouse during a week of wet weather that was frequently likened to Hurricane Irene's visit in 2011. We found the 1850's home lovingly renovated and appointed nicely, with everything one needs to enjoy their stay. We explored the hiking trails on site, swam in the pool, soaked in the hot tub and listened to the non-stop indigo bunting song. The home has backup electricity, so we were able to watch television on an evening of intense storms that, unbeknownst to us, had knocked out our power. We appreciated the green features of the home, and the ability to charge our EV while there. The few questions we had prior to and during our stay were promptly answered by Colin or Josh. We highly recommend MRVRM and this property!

Summary: We recently stayed at this beautiful farm house in Duxbury, VT and I have to say it was one of the best vacation experiences I’ve ever had. The house was spacious and had plenty of room for my family. We loved the fire pit at night and the most spectacular skies at night that showed off the beautiful cosmos. We even witnessed a shooting star! The location was perfect for getting away and seeing amazing stars at night. The farm house was clean and well-maintained and had a lot of amenities. It was very cozy and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation.
