Set in the historic camp meeting community of Mt. Gretna, this circa 1910 cottage is a restful break from the fast pace of modern life. It has been updated while retaining its historic charm. Some streets are pedestrian only and all are very narrow. Parking is limited to the church parking lot 1 minute walk from our cottage and a few community lots.
Camp Meeting community is set in a canopy of trees over 100 years old in its' own micro climate- cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter- due to these beautiful trees. The cottage is rustic, eclectic, comfortable. Many books and games available. The cottage is located within walking distance of all Mt. Gretna has to offer such as the Lake, Jigger Shop, tennis courts, theater, playgrounds, hiking trails.

Summary: We had a bit of a shock in the beginning bc we had trouble locating the house in the neighborhood then didn’t realize the parking was a bit of a hike. But, using a stroller and many trips, we got settled in. The host is very responsive and friendly. Our son loved walks multiple times per day to admire everyone’s flowers and gardens. There were toys in a closet that everyone enjoyed, and there’s a short walk to ice cream! We all had a great week and this home was the perfect quiet place to relax after busy days at Hershey.

Summary: We travel a lot using this booking platform and we really really loved staying at this home. It is a lovely property in the trees where the host has very clearly thought deeply about the comfort of their guests and how to make them enjoy every moment of their stay. We loved the attention to detail and felt very we'll cared for. We can’t wait to come back.

Summary: I just spent three nights with my family of 4. I didn't want to leave! The location of the cabin is perfect, in the heart of Mt. Gretna. The house itself was exactly what I was looking for, which was the charm of an old cottage with the right amount of updating. The floor plan and furniture arrangement were perfect and maximized the small space, so it didn't feel crowded. Spent many happy hours on the porch reading and doing artwork. Woke up every morning in a quiet wooded setting feeling relaxed. Katcha is a lovely host and very communicative. I felt like if I needed help, I'd be able to reach her easily. Highly recommend!!

Summary: Our family had a fantastic time staying here. Perfect combo of old and new with updated kitchen and enough seating for the 8 of us to watch the Olympics together! A lot of time was spent on the beautiful porch! Owner was amazing and responsive to our questions. AC is only in one bedroom but the fans in other bedrooms are the best ever!

Summary: This house was spotless! It was accurately pictured and described. It has clean, comfortable, new, furniture and appliances combined with antiques, all in perfect condition. The beds were all comfortable. We always bring our own sheets and blankets, but we didn’t even need them bc the bedding was so nice. The porch was just perfect. If you’re looking for a place to keep busy with lots of activities, or you like to “party” during vacation, this is probably not the place for you. “Quiet time” is between 10pm and 8am and is taken seriously. Our first night, we forgot and we were laughing loudly (sound really carries) on the porch at around 11:00. The neighbor very kindly reminded us of the quiet time. He was extremely nice about it! We just moved inside. But we honestly really loved how quiet is was. So peaceful! It definitely wouldn’t stop us from coming again. The lake, although expensive, was wonderful. And the Jigger Shop was fun. We were worried about being hot bc there was no central AC, but it was so much cooler there in general and the window unit downstairs kept the lower level very cool. The master bedroom was very cool bc of the widow unit. The other bedrooms have fans mounted on the walls. It’s really just a wonderful place to make memories and not feel exhausted when you come home!
