About us:
Our Schoppe family has been living in the old brick factory in Mützingen for 30 years. So we are the next generation: my wife, my little daughter, my little son and I bought the house 8/9 (AchtNeun), as my two year old daughter called it, and lovingly refurbished it. We have put a lot of love into details and placed value on high-quality furnishings and building materials. We wanted the whole design to be modern, but also timeless and with as much natural material as possible. Our motto has always been, “We build everything the way we would want it to be, so that we feel as comfortable as possible during our vacation”. Even though this attitude ultimately threw us a bit behind in our schedule and budget, in the end we are very happy that we stuck to it. We were thrilled with the end product and we are proud of the result. Furnishing:
The small brick house was completely renovated in 2017 and core-laminated. The house offers plenty of space to relax on about 60 m². In the living room, bedroom and in the hallway there is real wood parquet from Canadian maple or Oak installed. The kitchen and bathroom are newly tiled. In the bedroom there is a large box spring bed (180x200 cm) next to a wardrobe. The bathroom is equipped with modern and high quality fittings and ceramics. The kitchen is modern and has a coffee maker, a toaster, kettle, a microwave, an oven, a dishwasher and a Cremissimo machine. In addition, we provide our guests with the essentials with salt, pepper, coffee, coffee filters, sugar, sweetener, coffee cream, tea bags, capsules for the capsule coffee machine, oils and spices. The living room is equipped with a fireplace, an XXL TV (48 inches), an XXL sofa landscape, a DVD player, a music system and a large selection of board games (Monopoli, Risk, Ubongo, Hanabi, children's games and many more). There is also the possibility to have a nice DVD evening with one of the 700 DVDs. The terrace with barbecue area and cozy seating is covered with a beautiful sun shade and invites you to breakfast in the great outdoors. The highlight is our sauna area of approx. 40 m². In addition to the 90 degree sauna there is also a foot bath for two people, relaxation armchairs, a small bar, fireplace, a rain shower and a heated XXL lounger (140X200 cm) for relaxing or reading. Our newest relaxation oasis is the large bath tub which is heated to the desired temperature with a wood stove. It offers space for up to 7 people and can be used both in summer and in winter. The holiday home still has 1500 m² of outdoor space. A carport, a playground for the little ones with a willow tipi, a slide, a sandpit, a children's kitchen, a seesaw motorbike and a swing will be available in the garden with the warm season. There are also a number of different shrubs, flowers and trees on the site. We attached great importance to diversity and as much nature as possible.
Environmentally friendly:
We only use organic cleaning agents to clean the house. We want to make a serious contribution to environmental protection. We also want to protect our guests from allergies or intolerances. The soaps, detergents and tabs for the dishwasher that we provide you with are of course organic. And our toilet paper is made from 100% recycled material.
In the same breath, we ask our guests to use electricity, water and energy carefully and not wastefully. Please do not let the heaters run and keep the window open all day. Or not only let the underfloor heating run because it is included in the price, but only when it is needed. The environment and we as the landlord will thank you.
Costs:
The cost is 65 euros per night. In general, the house is designed for two people, but there could still be one person sleeping on the large sofa area and we could provide a toddler bed free of charge for small children, so we can also offer small families the opportunity to be our guests.

Cleaning fee: 55 euros
Pets: 5 euros per night
Use of the bath: 20 euros (including 2000 liters of water, firewood and cleaning)

Location:
Mützingen is a small town in the Wendland. Due to the Mützingenta (Ascension to Pentecost) with several thousand visitors and the open-air pizzeria, the place is also known outside of the district. Our holiday home is directly adjacent to the Mützingenta site, so that on Wednesdays and Fridays you can be in the pizzeria in two minutes and enjoy a delicious organic stone-oven pizza. Our house is outside the village center and almost in the middle of nature. After a minute's walk you are already in the middle of the forest. You can watch birds, squirrels or other animals, go for a walk or look for mushrooms. Mützingen is relatively central between the "larger" cities in our district. Lüchow is 19 km away, Dannenberg 14 km, Hitzacker 14 km, Clenze 14 km and the neighboring towns of Uelzen 29 km, Salzwedel 29 km and Lüneburg 50 km are also easy to reach from us. The next Edeka with a bakery and an extra organic bakery and an outdoor pool can be found in Zernien, about 6 km away.
Trips:
There are many leisure opportunities in the immediate vicinity. In the Göhrde (approx. 5 min. Driving time by car) you can play golf, Hitzacker (approx. 15 min. Driving time by car) is a beautiful small town with several small half-timbered houses and offers a lot of leisure opportunities. There are regular concerts there, you can go for a walk on the Elbe, go canoeing on the Elbe or Jetzel, play mini-golf, visit the Archelogical Center, go fishing, climb in the climbing garden, go to the outdoor pool, sports field, fitness studio, have a cocktail or enjoy the day in one of the many small coffees or with an ice cream.
In Lüchow (approx. 15 min. Travel time by car) there is a small swimming pool, a climbing hall, sports fields, gyms, a bowling center with bowling, billiards, darts and tennis and several playgrounds.
Dannenberg (approx. 15 min. Travel time by car) offers not only sports facilities such as a sports field, fitness studios, but also cafes, shops and restaurants and lakes.
In Uelzen (approx. 30 min. Travel time by car) there is, in addition to a bowling center, a toboggan, sports facilities, the Hundertwasser station, a swimming pool and a cinema, the opportunity to shop.
Salzwedel (approx. 30 min. Driving time by car) is known for its tree cake. But in addition to the Baumkuchen, Salzwedel also offers a fairytale park, sports facilities, a cinema and a beautiful old town.
In Gartow (approx. 35 min. Driving time by car) you will find the Wendlandtherme, which invites you to relax and run around with a sauna area, a brine bath and a swimming pool with giant slide. There is also a lot of nature and landscape that encourages you to take a walk. Gartow also has mini golf and a large water playground. In addition to the popular Flomarkt, there is also a large swimming lake.
The health resort Bodenteich (approx. 35 min. Driving time by car) offers a very special destination. The Bauck organic farm offers a livestock safari for young and old. In addition to llamas, zebras, bison, pigs and many other animals, you can inspect and even pet the village.
The Nemitzer-Heide (approx. 35 min. Driving time by car) is a popular destination for many tourists. Especially in the flowering season it is a wonderful sight.
The salt city of Lüneburg (approx. 55 min. Travel time by car) offers a cinema, a Tobeland, the Salü, a swimming pool with sauna world, an ice rink, sports facilities and a beautiful old town with many shopping opportunities.
In the whole district there are several beautiful bike routes that have the right route ready for both athletes and family outings.
In addition to many beautiful outdoor pools, there are also several lakes within a radius of 25 km where you can also swim.
