Summary: Nice enough hotel although it felt like a conference centre in parts. The restaurant service was slow and the food not great (had to send a steak back that was impossible to chew through for example). Only real issue is that if you park in the car park there's no way to get into the building with your luggage unless you walk up a flight of stairs and go back down in the lift - badly thought out.

Summary: The Van Der Valk Mons Congress hotel is modern, clean, and has very nice rooms, restaurant, bar, gym, spa, and meeting rooms. The location is great. A huge modern train station is across the street that provides rail connections to anywhere in Europe. On the other side of the train station is historic old downtown Mons with shops, restaurants, and historic buildings to see. And a huge modern shopping mall with nice restaurants and stores is only a 10-minute walk away. It is the best place to stay in Mons.

Summary: I preferred the one in Amsterdam. I found the pool and hot tub to be a bit disappointing. Sauna was also an extra charge and look very small. Tv was small and the Wi-Fi was very restrictive. Room looks a bit dated. The bed was very comfortable and I got a great night's sleep, hotel staff were all very professional and friendly.

Summary: Good standard hotel in calms surroundings with short walk to Grand Place. Comfortable bed. Gym closes early on weekends, which is a minus. No access to sauna but to a lukewarm splashing pool and a small yakuze which is busy most of the time.
