Summary: I was not comfortable staying there. The couple who owns the house live there and made things horrible. They will stress you with their rules. Don't touch. Don't wear your shoes. Why did you touch the wall? Why I there water on the floor of the bathroom. Don't switch the light on. Don't have your bath for more than 15 minutes. Why did you bring food into the hotel? They accused me of chipping off some paint off the wall with my bag - like the size of tip of a pen. I had to pay $60 for that. Accused me of telling lies because I didn't admit their accusations. I guess they didn't like that they had to put the fridge on for me because I had food to preserve. So they have to make me pay for it. If you cherish your mental health, do not go there.

Summary: This was a guest house type property and not a hotel. There are a lot of restrictions, e.g., shower needs to be completed in 10/15 mins, guests should be home by 11 pm, shoes must be kept outside the building etc. The Landlord even asked me about my expected schedule during my stay in Vancouver. The house is nice and clean, but this can't be recommended for a vacation stay. I would never stay there again.

Summary: Place is beautiful, quiet and comfortable. Close to food and shops. Owners seemed a bit concerned I had 5 bags of luggage (traveling home from working on the road for 6 months) and kinda assumed I was a bull in the proverbial china shop because I’m a burly white man. Like…they explained how a shower works? I know as a pro wrestler and carny I look rough, but I dunno. I felt all but pushed out the door when I checked out. Cest la vie.

Summary: Austin Guesthouse was generally clean, but the microwave was so dirty it smelled rotten. The fridge was not cold, was visibly dirty and smelled like mold. There was nothing to dry hands with in the shared bathroom. The shower was in the same room as the microwave and fridge(behind a non locking glass wall) It was very hot, and without air conditioning, there was no relief or sleep. The pictures on Hotels site show many comfortable places to relax, but in reality, I was only given my room with a kitchen chair to sit on. There was a row of child gates between the hosts living room and the entryway where my room was. The host said to keep the cat in the living room? Host were generally pleasant but I felt like they were lurking outside my room and they told me I didn't need to lock my room when I left because they were watching the entry area all the time...were there cameras? There were rules posted all over, even hanging from the light in the entry outside my door...my head hit it when I walked under it, and I'm 5ft 3. Time limit for shower, food prep specifically only that which can go in a microwave. I read I wasn't allowed food in my room but there is also no where to sit and eat outside my room. I didn't see the excessive rules posted on hotels so didn't vacate 11 to 4. I left from 1120 to almost 3 and the host did not get upset. It was an uncomfortable place to stay not due to furniture but due to the hosts excessive requirements/rules and their creepy lurking.

Summary: It was very clean and as described, but the owners stressed that I must be quiet closing doors etc...then proceeded to crash pots and pans in a kitchen below my room at 5am most mornings. Also they wanted me to move my car several times late at night. I understand parking is tight, but this was excessive
