Summary: The location is great and we enjoyed it a lot. Few minor things could be fixed in the house. We did not like the check-out. Unfriendly and unprofessional.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at the Marina! The view from the terrace--especially in the late evening was so pretty and peaceful. We heard the ducks calling and the sound of fish jumping out of the water. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook. The dishwasher and washing machine worked great. We used the bikes for a ride to Le Grau du Roi along the Canal. The bed was very comfortable and the rain shower was delightful. Can't say enough nice things about Monsieur Gomez, the caretaker who met us on the first day and again on the last day to return the deposit. All in all a perfect stay in Aigues Mortes!

Summary: The Lidl, 10 mins walk away for fresh croissants and bread; also Intermarches and a Super u about 10 mins drive away. The wireless printer was useful and the wi.fi was stable and reasonably fast. TV has about 10-15 French channels plus one TV in each bedroom. No DVD player. The bikes were really useful (one male and one female in good condition). The marina was quiet but enough boat movement to provide some interest each day. Wildlife included ducks and fish. The old town of Aigues-Mortes is about 10 minutes away by bike or 20 minutes walking. We also visited Montpelier (30 mins by car) and used the park and ride scheme (4.20 euros for all day parking and tram into city of about 20 mins). Plenty of local beaches close by with easy parking. St Laurent -d'Aigouze, a small village about 15 minutes away was interesting with a bull ring next to church. The Carbonnière tower provides a view over the Camargue and has a great viewpoint for wildlife. Le Grau-du-Roi is close by and is a very nice fishing town (and beach). Arles & Nimes all within 30 mins. Unfortunately the grill, toaster and food processor had not been washed so the cleaners are not so good. There is absolutely no linen of any kind so need to rent from owner or take your own. There were some basic cooking supplies such as salt and pepper and there was some toilet paper. The washing machine broke down on day 3 (first time used) and we noticed that the washing powder from previous wash was still in the machine unused suggesting that it was faulty before we arrived. It took over a week to fix (owners comment - we are in France). The sun shade was not very stable even in mild wind and there are no fans for downstairs area although there are air-conditioners in each bedroom. The low energy bulb in the shower was a bit dim. There is only 1 armchair and 1 sofa (2 seater) in lounge area. The table on patio seats at least 4 as does indoor table (high bar stool type). Eating indoors would be a bit difficult for children unless one brings in the patio table. There is no ward robe in main bedroom (used by owners to lock away items) so have to use the one in the second bedroom. All pillows are 60 x 60 cm, not common size in UK. The most off putting event was the delay in return of our security deposit. The caretaker was to do final check and return cash. In the event the cash "was missing" and after an hour of phone calls the caretaker kindly reimbursed us from own pocket!
