Hifi room with 2 Led TV 110 and 140 cms TNT satellite Astra and terrestrial, netflix, foreign channels, Spanish, English, German, French, internet 4G unlimited wifi, private discotheque with many lights and lasers, dining room Led TV with fireplace, sofa bed 3 pl. Disabled accessible villa. 8 beds in all. Summary: We love to share appreciation of top places to stay. And Calella is wonderful. Alas, plaudits are not possible for this average villa and host. After confirming the booking, Alain told us that the advertised charge for AC would now be more than twice as much. He claimed he did not have time to update the VRBO ad and would … yet still has not. Check-in was a mess. Despite our requests, Alain gave his gardener Adria a wrong phone number for us, which caused a late check-in, with young kids waiting in the heat. Alain did not acknowledge his mistake. The house was far from clean and was given no more than a surface tidy. The owners had been there for a month before our arrival. A disgusting fridge still with contents, a microwave with food bits, dirty sinks, bidets, toothbrush holders etc. It took 2 hours to scrub the place clean. Our baby would emerge from crawling filthy. And one of the two toilets stank for all our stay, rendering it off limits. No cot was setup for our baby despite our request and only three skimpy towels were provided for our family stay. Alain never acknowledged or apologised for this state of affairs. During our stay, my partner sat at the end of the bed and it caved in. We slept in this broken bed for 3 nights. Alain’s reaction was to blame us and threaten costs. The bed was being held up by two beams and rusty nails. Shame. The house has potential - social areas and bedrooms are generous. And the garden & pool are great spaces (thanks to Adria).

Summary: The villa was fabulous. It is spacious, modern and well equipped. We loved the pool, the garden, the bedrooms with great showers, the lounge - cosy yet spacious and the disco room was a cool addition. The kitchen had all in it that was needed. The 3 terraces were perfect for enjoying different times of the day and the beautiful garden. Calella is only a shorty walk away with stunning views, beaches and excellent restaurants. The whole stay was perfect and we did not want to leave. Alain was a great host too. Meeting us on our arrival and taking time to explain how everything worked - brilliant- thank you.
