Summary: The home is as advertised - Victorian era and updated a little bit. The apartment was neat and clean - no dust bunnies hiding anywhere. The bathroom and kitchen very clean and functional.Lots of DVDs and CDs to play if you end up staying in for the night. Nice TV.This home is in a safe, quiet neighborhood except for the noisy thoroughfare one block away (Division Street) and the railroad tracks that had trains coming through and blowing their horns in the middle of the night. If you're a light sleeper, we recommend you bring ear plugs.We visited during a cold spell and the hot water radiators worked just fine and kept us comfortable.The landlord answered all of our questions prior to our visit and was on site during our visit. The back stairs from the parking area are quite a challenge to climb up with luggage. Front stairway is depicted on the listing and is quite attractive with lovely dark wood.Most of the rooms had functional antiques and/or vintage furnishings as well as artwork on the walls, however, the second bedroom was neglected when they fixed up the apartment. It had a mattress on a rolling frame with shabby bed cover, no nightstand, bare minimum window covering (bring your eye shade for sleeping!), nothing on the walls for decoration, and no rug on the lovely refinished wood floor.Neither of the bedrooms had a functional dresser with drawers for clothes and the second bedroom's closet wasn't even accessible.Kitchen was functional but desperately needs more updating re. the inside of cupboards and drawers. Stove and refrigerator worked just fine.Overall, we were comfortable. If you don't mind a little shabbiness here and there, it will be just fine for an overnight stay.

Summary: Homeowner was there to greet us, and give us a tour of the unit.Netflix available on large flatscreen TV.WiFi and internet were excellent.Queen sized bed was comfortable.Fully equipped kitchen.Nice neighborhood.Two showers used up hot water.A blanket, in addition to the duvet, would have been nice.Additional towels and washcloths would have been useful.Off street parking was nice.Recommended for others.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet and spacious apartment, and our hosts were very welcoming. So many windows brightened each room! The location was surprisingly quiet, in an older, clean, residential neighborhood. Easy to navigate and close to grocery, co-op, restaurants, local shopping. We hope to return again!
