Beautiful, remodeled Victorian / Modern home with open floor plan.
The Mississippi River is your backyard right in Minneapolis. 3 queen bedrooms and a 4th pullout bed in the common room. 10 minute drive to downtown Minneapolis.
We've been a super host on other platforms since 2015 with hundreds of 5 star reviews. We've always enjoyed having guests at our one of a kind 1880's Victorian home with modern additions. One of only six houses in the Twin Cities right on the river. Relax in the river room with a beautiful bent wood solarium, fireplace and river view. Enjoy the dock for sunsets, downtown views, nature and the colorful Lowry Bridge. A rare historic home we like to call "country in the city".
A buzzing restaurant district. Within a few blocks are 4 restaurants, a brew pub, and coffee shops. The Sample Room restaurant is 2 doors south.
Near Twins, Timberwolves, Vikings, US Bank stadium, Walker Art Center, Guthrie Theater, 1st Avenue, night life, art galleries, live music, cinemas, hiking trails, brew pubs, kayak and bike rentals.
The space:
A spacious, open layout with private rooms, pocket doors, leaded glass, original art, beautiful light and modern furnishings. We've hosted 1 or 2 guests, families, friends for small gatherings, and many business travelers.
Guest access
This is a large duplex. We live on the second floor if you have questions. You have the entire private first floor: fully equipped kitchen, river room with solarium, living room which includes a 4th comfortable queen fold out. Two bedrooms with pocket doors are on the first floor along with a third bedroom on the second floor via a staircase that we do not share with guests. Your private entrance is a sliding glass door on the river-side. The back patio has a table, 6 chairs and gas grill. There's also a side porch so there's plenty of room for gatherings or hanging outside to enjoy views of the Mississippi river.
Our large modular space and huge backyard has been used for special events, family reunions, retreats and weddings. Please ask about your event and we can negotiate a price.

Summary: This home is absolutely stunning, and Isabelle was a fantastic host! We stayed here the night before and night of our wedding and hosted our wedding party and family for an informal rehearsal dinner, and Isabelle and her husband were so lovely and accommodating. The space is gorgeous, they have a great little history lesson about the home for you when you check in, and there's an ADORABLE dog on the property that came and said hi to us while we were on the patio/yard. All of our out of state friends were absolutely delighted with the access to the Mississippi. The records and sound system made it easy for us to put on background music, and the atrium windows were perfect for getting ready pictures. My wife and I are already talking about another stay just the two of us for an anniversary.

Summary: Beautiful space, so comfortable and cozy, lots of light and it was peaceful and easy to stay there. Easy to get around the cities. The space is well situated and perfect for visiting, lounging, slow starts. The hosts were gracious, unobtrusive, availavble and friendly. We felt welcomed and comfortable.

Summary: A nice place on the river that has a cool MCM vibe. One bedroom is upstairs and the staircase needs to be navigated with some care, but we had no issues. Friendly hosts. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to reserve again.

Summary: The house is an older home in need of some updates and maintenance. The interior is charming but there is some artwork on the walls that is inappropriate for younger children. The location is a short walk to a bread shop, coffee and brew pub. We also walked our dog on a path along the river which was great. Guests are asked to park on the “safe” street. The neighborhood may be low crime, but there is a lot of traffic going 45 mph including semi trucks out front. There are plenty of spaces in the back to accommodate the VRBO guests and the upstairs renters but they are filled with old/unused vehicles (incl. a boat). The owner needs to decide what the purpose of this house is going to be, a place for guests or a place to store their possessions. It should not be both!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for our weekend plans, perfect spot if you're planning on going to a show at The Fillmore. It was refreshing to have a space so homey and lived in where we could make outselves right at home. We hope to visit again soon!
