This delightful retreat is located on the main floor of a turn-of-the-last-century house in historic Ballard. It is a complete, fully functional home with a fully equipped kitchen. Nothing is shared with the upper unit except laundry facilities in the shared entry. Acoustic insulation insures that you will hear little if anything from your upstairs neighbor.
Ballard has everything you could want. Living in this home, it's all at your doorstep! Within 1 block you can enjoy espresso and some of the best bread in Seattle. Within a 6 block radius you can enjoy an upscale movie house, a diverse array of restaurants, large QFC grocery store, shops and the fabulous year-round Sunday Farmer’s Market offering fresh locally grown produce and products. If your visit is job-related, you will also have access to a post office, FedEx, and built-green public library.
A detailed renovation was completed in 2008, in keeping with the home's original character. Wide plank oak floors extend throughout, including the new kitchen. The kitchen is cook-friendly. Guests can chat with the chef while sitting at the breakfast table. The main dining room can seat six and there is still room for a sofa. Barn doors separate the dining room from the very spacious living room. It can be closed off for privacy and has two queen sized high end, no-bar hide-a-beds and a 26 inch flat screen TV. There is another queen sized sleigh bed in the private bedroom with lots of drawer space and ample storage.

Summary: The Ballard Victorian is outstanding in many ways. The building has been beautifully and faithfully restored, It is light, airy, and generously proportioned. The kitchen and living areas are very will equipped. Everything we needed for a one week stay was available, of high quality and in nearly new condition. The building is on a corner lot surrounded by very pretty gardens. The neighborhood is interesting and safe. There are interesting walks in all directions. We recommend the walk to the Ballard locks. The dedicated parking space is a real bonus. The hosts are wonderful. During our stay Seattle Power and Light suffered a major outage. The hosts came right away with battery powered lights and backup power. We have stayed in dozens of VRBOs all over the world and the Ballard Victorian is the very best.

Summary: I hope it's not, but it might not be a short term option next year. I love this house. I love it especially in the spring when the wisteria surrounds the front entry in a purple cloud. I love the fall when the leaves are turning bright colors. The house is always welcoming and the location is perfect for visiting grandchildren, the farmers' market, coffee shops, and everything Ballard has to offer. The hosts are so accommodating and all the little extra touches make the stay just perfect.

Summary: This wonderful home has vintage vibes with modern comfort. Very, very clean, spacious, well stocked & very comfortable for my husband & I. Location was perfect, within walking distance to downtown, stores, restaurants, & my son’s townhouse. The owner even checked in on us to make sure everything was okay! We definitely would stay here again!

Summary: It’s springtime in Ballard and the Victorian house is blooming! It looks so beautiful as you approach and inhale the fragrant plants and flowers. As always the house is a welcome retreat but close to all the fun things to do in Ballard. This is our favorite place to stay when we visit our granddaughters. See you again in the Fall.

Summary: This is-I think-my fourth stay here. I love it! The bed is comfy. It’s nice and warm when Seattle is cold and damp, and it’s a quick walk to Starbucks, shops, restaurants, and most important, my baby granddaughters! Happy New Year and I’ll be back in April.
