5 Bedroom House in Pianello del Lario

A newly built detached house situated on the hillside above Pianello del Lario in a very tranquil location.
The house is arranged over two floors - there is an open plan living room, kitchen & dining area and a master bedroom & balcony with gorgeous views of the lake, plus an en-suite bathroom. There is also a downstairs cloakroom toilet. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms; 3 with double beds and the fourth one has a large single bed suitable for one adult or 2 children. There is also a bathroom upstairs fitted with a large shower.
There are 2 bathrooms:
Bathrooms 1: this ensuite bathroom features a bathtub with shower and WC.
Bathroom 2: the bathroom features a shower, a bidet and a WC.
Extra: There is another bathroom with only a WC.
The interior has been furnished in a very comfortable & contemporary style. The kitchen is fully-fitted with an oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, electric kettle & toaster. In the lounge area, the entertainment includes a Wide Flat screen TV. There is also a lovely stone built fireplace which you can use. Enjoy a real log fire in the stunning wooded hills above Lake Como.
All of the bedrooms enjoy the magnificent views of the central lake area and the Alps to the north.
Outside, there is a private pool and large open terrace with a unique, stone dining table from where you can enjoy Italian \'al fresco\' dining.
There is a spacious parking space fronting the house available for the guests.
The property has no heating.
Pianello del Lario is a charming little village on lake Como at 46km from town Como on the north-western shore. It has a long-sandy-gravel beach called Laguna Beach. In Pianello village, every amenity is at your disposal - a local bakery, supermarket, cafes and restaurants provide a true taste of the relaxed Italian lifestyle while for the adventurous amongst you, there is hiking, water sports, golf and skiing, all easily accessible in the surrounding areas.

Summary: Long weekend, two families with 4 children between 2-7. Pros Beautiful views Peaceful location Decent size bedrooms Cons Pool wasnt cleaned upon checkin Fridge had been switched off, not cold for food and drinks Property in generally a poor state - think we were the first in there in a while Oven kept tripping the power, so we couldnt use it Wifi code was wrong and took a few calls to get it working No chopping board for food preparation and generally poorly kitchen Cold tap not working in bathtub downstairs, nearly scalded a child If you arent fussy about the quality of furnishings or kitchen stuff, and generally tired state of the property, then for the price, this is an OK stay. I wouldn't come again with a family. Might be OK for walkers due to trail access.

Summary: I had also communicated that the wireless internet did not worked all week and we incurred $300 in data charges on our cell phones accordingly. No one ever responded despite my emails and posting on VRBO. - there were several rubbish items in the lawn when we arrived including empty water bottles, broken pool toys, etc. - only one of the seven outside lights seem to work. - lots of bugs (dead and alive) when we arrived in the unit. The walls had markings where other bugs had been killed. - the front terrace door was wide open when we arrived and made us very uncomfortable that the house was not secure when we arrived. - the driving instructions missed several key steps to get here. Also, the longitude and latitude coordinates were not correct. The only way we were able to finally reach the property was through contacting your team member and him s ending me an apple map / GPS route. We incurred $270 additional transportation charges. - the pictures of the furniture and outdoors is dated - none of the outdoor furniture shown was actually on property. - we asked no less than five times where to put garbage. Only once did we get a response and they said it was on the street. It was clear the person responding had either never been to the property or not in a long time because there were no bins. We stayed in 4 VRBO properties while in Italy and this one stood out with poor service and upkeep.

Summary: The property was amazing! We got severely, severely lost trying to find the place, but that was because we were relying on google maps but didn’t have the right address for google maps, when we should have just followed the instructions you left us, so that was our own fault. Regarding activites etc., we went to Villa d’Este, and a few other restaurants but I can’t remember their names. Overall we had a fantastic time though, many thanks for everything!
