Positive: The apartment is very clean-no shoes allowed, disposable slippers are provided. The host lives in a different part of the home so it seems very secure. The kitchen/dining area is well-stocked with glasses, cups, and dishes. There is a very nice refrigerator and freezer. It's in a very quiet area a 10 minute walk through the Posebyen district to the cathedral and old town.

Negative: We actually liked everything but it is important to know that the apartment is about a 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal or train station with some hills if you have heavy suitcases to drag (but it is downhill when you return from the apartment ;-). The host kindly offered to pick us up but we declined since we enjoy walking...even with roller bags. There is also a city bus that will get you most of the way to the apartment from the train or ferry.

Summary: This is a wonderful, quiet place to stay.

Positive: Super quick and friendly service. The room was absolutly spotless and wonderfully presented. The bed super comfortable which allowed me to have an amazing night sleep (rare for me outside home). Parking was super clear and well explained.

Positive: The owner is a very pleasant and friendly woman. She welcomed us and introduced us to the house. It is very modern, luxurious, and well-equipped. It's spotlessly clean. They'll arrange a free parking space for your car 100 meters away. I highly recommend it.

Positive: It was close to a hiking area which I enjoyed. The host was gracious enough to offer to pick me up at the bus station so I didn't have to walk to the accommodations. She also went over things in the accommodation which was very helpful. I found the kitchen well stocked and the bathroom was set up with some toiletries which was a nice touch.

Negative: I book these type of accommodations for privacy. As a solo traveler, I like privacy. I don't book hotels because I prefer not to have someone in my room when I'm not there. When I came back to my room at the end of the day, I could tell someone was there as things were not as I left them. The host was very kind in treating this accommodation as a hotel and there was someone in my room to empty trash and such while I was away, but I would have preferred not to have someone in my room when I'm not there. again, as a solo female traveler, I am very cautious and prefer not to have this type of service. but I know there are some that appreciate that service. I mentioned this to the host after I left. The host also did not speak a lot of English, so some communication was difficult.
