Positive: good location to venture into Mancora. Not too far to walk to town, far enough from the road. Probably one of the better options to stay in Mancora. The breakfast lady was super nice. So thank you for taking care of you
Negative: Fixed breakfast options, pre-cut fruit salad led to a lot of waste in our case. Place feels more like a home stay with tons of rules to follow. If you are late to breakfast the breakfast table might be full to other guests make it uncomfortable for you to join. Owner is remote and everything needs to be discussed by WhatsApp. For non Spanish speakers difficult as staff on site does not speak English. Lots of barking dogs when you walk up the dirt road to the hotel, can be daunting at night. Rooms look better in the photos on booking.com. Bad smell in bathroom, although that is common in may accommodation along the seaside - maybe drainage. No safe in room. I had $200 cash stolen during my time in Mancora. I only found out on way to airport, because it was together with my passports in a bag. I can't proof where it was stolen but a hotel room without safe is a risk. This is more a warning to travellers in general. Don't leave cash in rooms where there is no safe. Stupid me!!

Positive: Beautiful sanctuary with high quality materials and great staff! We were there for only one night, but they managed to arrange couples massage, taxi, a yoga class and even a late check-out all in that timeframe.

Positive: We stayed 2 nights with 7 people in the Villa de sol. The place is very peaceful, a beautiful property on the outskirts of Mancora. The attentiveness and friendliness of the staff is exceptional. They always tried to find the best solution for the guests. Fresh juice and fruit salad as well as eggs prepared to your choice, coffee, bread and butter are part of the continental breakfast. The terrace with pool and loungers in the shade is surrounded by palm trees and has a great view of the lighthouse and the sea. It is only a 10-minute walk to the sandy beach and the town with a wide selection of restaurants of different price ranges, clubs and shops. The clientele is very international, the place is safe. There are a variety of leisure activities such as surfing, kite surfing, horse riding on the beach. It was an unforgettable stay.
Negative: There are some rooms that are a little outside the central Villa del sol. This should be clearly visible when choosing a room.
