Positive: Amazing flat with terraces with beautiful views of smoking Etna. Two very large bedrooms with large double beds, one with ensuite shower room, the other ensuite bathroom; plus super-large living room / dining room. Well equipped kitchen with coffee machine and sufficient pods. Basket of delicious breakfast goodies such a treat. Access to the owners private pool just below our terrace was a reason for booking (although not hot enough for this in early May at 22-25c). Nice to have it there though and it looked super-clean. Home was also spotlessly clean, in a safe area and really felt like a treat to stay there. Private parking such a welcome relief. Could possibly fit two small cars on driveway. Although washing machine awaiting repair person, owner kindly offered to help with washing - although we found a local Lava Piu near us - plus it was near a supermarket and petrol station which worked well for our schedule. Demonstrates though, how owners went out of their way to be helpful - so kind! Good access to motorways for day trips to Etna, Siracusa, Taomina and Villa Romana; and if you’re feeling keen, you can also drive downtown to beautiful Catania old town. Would not hesitate to stay here when we return to Catania.

Positive: Breakfast not supplied. Elevated position overlooking Etna and the Catania. We had a hire car and so were able to visit the surrounding countryside easily. Excellent size of apartment with 2 separate bedrooms each with an ensuite. Air conditioning in bedrooms a bonus. Good terraces to use depending on the time of day. Private swimming pool and added bonus.

Negative: Kitchen could be updated - difficult to get cutlery and crockery. Could have done with another small saucepan.

Summary: Very pleasant, large and comfortable. Great views.

Positive: The property inside and outside is really beautiful and comfortable with spacious rooms while the area is quiet, on a hill with trees, The pool, veranda and living room had a nice view to Etna. We enjoyed our stay very much. It is imperative to have a car for this property as it is a bit secluded because transport is not that easy to find while it is needed even for going to the nearest supermarket (if you have many things to buy). The owners were very friendly, polite and helpful whenever we needed them.

Negative: Not much, really.

Summary: Great place to combine quiet relaxation and use as a base to visit the east part of Sicily.

Positive: Amazingly kind and generous hosts who welcomed us with fresh fruit and more, and even placed fresh flowers in the bedrooms for us! Really fantastic accommodation with a very homely, very comfortable and spotlessly clean interior. We also loved the view of snow-capped Etna from the cosy living and dining room. Couldn't have been better in any way. Really top!
