From the very first moment, it was clear this wasn’t just accommodation, but an experience to be savored. Susana and Paolo are exceptional hosts in every sense. Warm, attentive, and effortlessly thoughtful, they strike that rare balance of being available when you need them while giving you space to fully unwind. Their local knowledge added so much depth to our trip, guiding us toward experiences we might otherwise have missed. The location is a dream for anyone craving authenticity. We loved our visit to Pinhão, just over an hour away, but what made it even more special was returning “home” afterward—away from the crowds and back to the serenity of the countryside. There’s something magical about being on a working farm: wandering through olive groves, learning the craft of olive oil production, and simply soaking in the landscape at your own pace. Despite the tranquil setting, convenience isn’t sacrificed. Mirandela, a short 20-minute drive away, offers everything you might need—from shops to restaurants—though you may find little reason to leave, as the property itself is wonderfully self-contained. This is more than a place to stay—it’s a place to reconnect, recharge, and experience a slice of rural life that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommended.
