'La Bruyere' is one of the loveliest holiday rental villas at 'Domaine de Brantome' in the PÉRIGORD Vert, Dordogne, France, as the triple aspect, large terrace and garden area make it exceptionally bright and airy and no wonder it was awarded a 4**** grading by the accredited 'Étoiles de France'! The downstairs is beautifully furnished and has a sitting room with French doors onto the garden and a beautiful feature arched glass door. The solid wood kitchen with the floor to ceiling sliding glass doors onto the terrace make cooking a pleasure! Upstairs there is a double room with a spacious ensuite shower & wc and a lovely bright second double room with its own shower room alongside. Plenty of room for a cot in either bedroom or between rooms. Should you decide not to cook there is a wonderful French restaurant with bar just a stroll across the lawns! The villas are just a short stroll from the beautiful village of Brantome with it's abundance of charming restaurants, shops & sights.

Summary: We’ve just enjoyed a wonderful month in Le Cerisier Villa. The villa was well setup, comfortable and had everything we needed. The grounds of the Domaine were great and the convenience of underground parking was much appreciated. Helen was great and extremely helpful during our time in the Brantome area, she gave us lots of helpful hints on navigating backroads, restaurants and ways of the area. We would highly recommend the villas and the area for those wanting a look at the rustic side of France...beautiful countryside, lovely chateaux, friendly native along with excellent wine and foods. The restaurant run by Yang and Collette was great and a lovely place to dine. Thoughly enjoyed our time in Brantome and would visit again.

Summary: A very clean and smart villa with all the amenities required for a short stay. A well equipped kitchen for those wishing to dine in. The villa would benefit from the installation of wi-fi, a must in this era.The complex is ideally situated on the outskirts of Brantome which is only a 15 minute walk away. We were met by Helen who oversees the running of a number of villas, we found Helen to be of a pleasant nature with a can do attitude which added to the enjoyment of our holiday, for this we thank her. With thanks from the Preacher and Stewart families.

Summary: Spent a week in Bruyere villa last August and had a lovely family holiday. The villa was well equipped and spotless. Our two children loved swimming in the pool, the walks into Brantome by the country lane and especially the canoeing-highly recommended but be prepared for the round of applause by the town bridge when you get stuck on the slipway! Brantome has some great restaurants at really affordable prices so really easy to eat out most days, one restaurant on the riverside did a 4 course lunch for only €14! (sorry can’t remember the name but Helen will!) We visited the nearby lakes a couple of times too, saw every chateau in the area-the children were obsessed! Helen was great-really helped us choose suitable day trips and great restaurants and was always on hand for advice. We were even surprised with a birthday cake and balloons for our little boy's 7th birthday which he celebrated while we were on holidays! Merci Helen! we hope to be back towards the end of August again!
