Positive: Nice house, beautiful garden, great view. Peaceful, middle in the nature. Perfect if this is what you are looking for. There is supermarket in a small town nearby, 20 minutes driving. We did our grocery for the duration of our stay, then just relax, enjoy the nature. Make sure you follow the directions given by Deolinda, the host, via a link. Otherwise you might end up to a very narrow street unsuitable for car.

Negative: It looks like the electric supply is weak, the light sometimes flickering. You hear the sound of the waterpomp maschine when you sit in the garden.

Positive: Loved the peacefulness and beauty of the property and village. It is a very unique and special in a quaint very small village near the Peneda-Gerês National Park.

Negative: Luckily, we hit a grocery store before arriving since restaurants are limited and you must drive 10-30 minutes.

Positive: Very spacious house with a very nice touch and a little souvenir on arrival. Nice village. Very quiet. The host provided instructions on where to park ahead of time with a video :-) As it was so nice, we decided to have dinner at home on the second night.

Negative: Some insects; we could not open the windows at night and there were a couple of other bugs inside. Is expected in a country house but some were just a little too big. No air conditioning so it was a compromise on a really hot weekend between temperature regulation at night and bugs. No light outside the house when we arrived; we almost past it and had to use the phone lantern to put in the code to enter the house. Would be nice to have the outside lamp on. Some towels had stains - they were probably washed but is unpleasant. There were some signs on the road but they were confusing and we went the wrong way into another part of the village with bad roads - we had to turn back and continue - that's when we understood the signs. Location if far from the main attractions in Geres - we knew that in advance and it was not an issue. We just had to plan accordingly, even when considering where to have breakfast and dinner.
